Mercenaries for Hire: Behind-the-Scenes

In the post for cHUSTLE 04, I mentioned that the Friday was a busy shooting day. A large part of that was that we were also shooting this video that night. We only had a couple days before Kathleen went home to Vancouver, and Alex to Toronto, so it was a small window of opportunity.

We spent about 20 minutes (as we usually do) wandering around buildings at UVic looking for an appropriate location for the video, and I’m pretty happy with the one we found. Some day we’ll be able to afford actual sets… someday.

It was late in the day before we even started, luckily the video was planned to be a quick shoot, so it was. Everything went smoothly, and we were done in just over two hours. And now, some pictures:

  1. Weird Paul Saunders looks like Bill Nye. It’s creepy.

And now I think I know why Ray looked more feminine than he should have…

Turtleneck + Tight Jacket + Shoulder Length Hair = Girlyman, and none of it realy could be his fault either.

  9. Yeah, she looks like some kind of maniacal overlordess. In other words: Kathleen, stay out of politics. It’s for the people.

  10. WHY DOESN’T ALEX LOOK LIKE THAT ALL THE TIME.

I seldom break out the all caps, but in this case, it’s justified.

Also, Kathleen’s last picture is the most manically gleeful expression I’ve ever seen.

  11. If that’s an example of the photo I’d get as one of their services it’s totally not worth the $25.
