You asked, we delivered! LRR-themed sleeves and playmats!

As you are probably aware, we play… a lot of Magic. And if you play Magic, you’re probably wondering why we haven’t offered any of our own Magic inspired merchandise. But wonder no more! After a bunch of testing and samples, we are thrilled to finally offer LRR playmats and card sleeves for sale!

If you’re looking for a classy playmat, we have you(r table) covered. Choose from either a simple LRR logo design, or the OCD special ‘Diagram’ version.

These are the same quality of playmat you’d find in your local game shop! This is a standard mat that measures 60 cm wide x 35 cm high (23.5 wide x 13.75 inches). Both playmats clock in at a cushiony 3mm thick.

But of course, if you want to protect your cards with a playmat, you’ll also want sleeves right? We have those! These high quality sleeves (we tested them a bunch before we were willing to sell them) come in a universally applicable “I Think We’re Just Dead Here” design. Please note, these sleeves come in bundles of 200 – that’s enough for two commander decks, three standard decks, five draft decks or half a cube!

You can also order a combo playmat and sleeve pack that comes with the playmat of your choice and 100 sleeves! All available in the LRR Store!

Jonny Four

Hey Bros and Bro-ettes, Jonny is back on his game, and it sounds like he had quite the night, so check in with him down below.

LoadingReadyRun: Jonny Four
Unskippable: Max Payne 3, Part 2
Checkpoint: Gamer Marketing
Feed Dump: Dakota & Madison Work Stuff Out
Loading Time: Building Planes

Given that this week’s video is the fourth in a series, and was filmed on a Friday when I wasn’t around, I don’t actually have a lot to offer in the way of behind the scenes insights, other than to tell you that the pink… thing the Graham is wearing in this episode is the same pink…. thing that Bill wore as a part of his West Coast mother-Lovin’ G’s gang outfit from the first season of commodoreHUSTLE.

In other news, I understand that there will be no Loading Time this week, as the Friday video shoot interefered with our abilty to record one. That said, there will be one for the next video (which we shot on Saturday) and I know there’s a plan for another different sort of Loading Time in the coming weeks that you should find pretty interesting.

As a final note, I thought I’d also let you all know that we laid down some commentary tracks for a new DVD on Saturday. I won’t say what it is, or when it will be available, but we have something in the works for you, and we hope it’ll be ready soon.

Cheers!

Sh*t People Say

Sh*t LRR fans say: “Oh hey the new video is up”

LoadingReadyRun: Sh*t People Say
Unskippable: L.A. Noire
Checkpoint: Tera-fied

So, as Graham will note in the intro to this video, “Sh*t People Say” marks another fine entry in the list of videos where LRR arrives at a meme so late that it’s essentially been beaten to death already. But an old, tired premise has never stopped us scraping the bottom of the barrel before, and it’s not going to stop us now either!

The premise of this video was to, in equal parts, do a parody of the meme, capitalize on the popularity of the format to have some geeky fun, to bring the meme to it’s ridiculous conclusion finally putting it to bed, and to pretty much just do a “Sh*t People Say” video. I’d say we managed to succeed on most of those counts. A number of people in the various comment threads have made mention of the fact that they subconsciously added the X ways to Y music to the video, but I’m tempted to say that it almost strikes me as more of a Rapid-fire. Maybe a bit from Column A and a bit from Column B.

In other news, if you’re interested in some additional content to feed into your eye-holes, please note that Loading Time is henceforth going to be a recurring feature on The Escapist. New Loading Time columns and videos will update every Thursday, so make sure to check those out!

One final thing, our MtG Phases t-shirt is now available on the LRR Store. If you didn’t manage to grab one during pre-orders, now’s your chance!

Cheers!

The week’s new videos are here, and ready for your viewing pleasure. Check ’em:

commodoreHUSTLE: Rarelywinter
Unskippable: Ar Tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel
Checkpoint: UbiHardball

This week’s update marks the fourth entry in our Wizards of the Coast-sponsored series of videos, and features the Neverwinter campaign setting. When we were offered the chance to feature this particular product, it seemed like the perfect excuse to bring back everyone’s favorite D&D group – so we looked to Dale, Ryan, and Jess to help us out with this one.

We shot this video in a single evening at Dale’s apartment. We were running on a pretty strict timeline for this one, so it meant getting everyone together for a night, and hammering it out. Some careful planning, preparation, and skillful boom-work (handled by Sir-not-appearing-in-this-picture, [read: me]) later, and this one was in the can.

If you haven’t yet had your fill of Dale, remember also that Desert Bus begins this Friday at 6PM. He’ll make an appearance or two I’m sure. I’m less sure about the planned attendance of Jess or Ryan, but keep your eyes on the video stream, because you never know who’ll turn up!

One final note: our Phases tee-shirts have arrived from the printer, and we will be shipping them out as soon as is feasible. I know the plan is to get them on the road before Desert Bus starts, but we’re still in the midst of Desert Bus prep, and it may just not be possible. We ask for your patience and understanding on this one, and we’ll do our best to get them to you ASAP.

Cheers!

Tee Shirt Pre-order: Phases
October 13th, 2011

UPDATE: We have decided to extend the preorder until October 31st, so you have one more week to order this awesome shirt!

A shirt for the stylish planeswalker, our newest pre-order unites an iconic design with the terminology of Magic: the Gathering. Available in a selection of colors representing each of the five types of mana, one of these shirts is sure to leave the gamer of your choice wanting to tap you. Remember, though, that these shirts are as fleeting as victory, and if you wish to bring one into your plane of existence you must not delay! Travel to the LoadingReadyRun store, and secure yourself one today! You’ll find they cost less than a Snapcaster Mage (and they’re warmer to boot!)

Additionally, all shirt pre-orders include a button featuring a few of the lesser known steps of a player turn. A must have for the Magic collector, and surprisingly useful as a +1/+1 counter.

Cheers!
