Congratulations to Mike Shay for submitting the winning entry to Operation: Speak ‘n’ Sell! We judged his voiceover for the t-shirt ad to be the most effective. As a prize, he has won his choice of a Desert Bus, WiiPlay, or Talk Like A Pirate t-shirt.

Special thanks to Evil Jim, Sean Quigley, and Thomas McNulty for their Runners Up entries.

The entries, on the whole, were excellent. Thank you to everyone who participated!

The next Runners Operation is upon us!

Anyone who’s been watching Inside the Moon knows what this is all about, but if you haven’t been watching my weekly live show (Fridays at 1 PM PST!), here’s the gist:

In Operation: Speak ‘n’ Sell, your task is to write and perform a voiceover for LRR’s latest t-shirt commercial (which you can view below). The commercial is advertising LRR’s sale on Desert Bus, WiiPlay, and How to Talk Like a Pirate shirts, which are now only $12 each!

Record your voiceover as a standalone audio file and send it, or a link to a hosted version of it, to [email protected] by Friday, June 11, 2010 for your chance to win the grand prize, which is one of the shirts you’re helping to advertise, with shipping included!

Special thanks go to Danzama, Brett Hospital, Vigafre, James Burton, and Graham Gier, who were willing to take pictures of themselves looking ridiculous for inclusion in the commercial. We salute you for putting yourselves out there!

If you’d like to discuss this operation or have questions regarding technical details, hit up this forum thread.

Runners operation

As you heard earlier this week, LRR is going to be appearing at w00tstock in Seattle and Portland this May.

We haven’t had an Operation in a little while, and w00tstock got me thinking… Appearing in a show with Wil Wheaton, Paul and Storm, Adam Savage, and lots of other cool people is going to be awesome, but appearing in Woodstock would be awesome, too. That will probably never happen for us, but through the magic of computing technology, we can have the next best thing!

Your challenge, Runners, is to create an image of LoadingReadyRun appearing at Woodstock. You can do custom art, you can photoshop our faces onto Jimmy Hendrix or Led Zeppelin, you can create a promotion poster… Be creative with it.

Submit your image to [email protected] with “Operation: I’m With the Band” in the title by midnight PST on Friday, April 30 for a chance to win one of the following prizes:

The Grand Prize winner will receive their choice of a How To Talk Like A Pirate, WiiPlay, or Desert Bus t-shirt!

The two Runners-Up will receive a free button of their choice with their next purchase from the LoadingReadyRun store. (LRR logo three-button pack not eligible for this offer.)

The best entries will also be showcased on our blog.

If you have any questions, leave a comment. Otherwise, get arting!

Operation: Mark Moonbase Mk. III Results
April 4th, 2010

Almost 80 people sent in submissions for Operation: Mark Moonbase Mk. III, which I’m pretty sure is a new record for us. Thank you, everyone who entered!

Many people guessed locations very close to the actual place where we built Moonbase Mk. III, but ultimately only one person was able to pinpoint the correct building site. Before revealing the winner, I’d like to share a couple of the closer attempts. These people are the Runners Up of the operation.
