First off, let me give a big shoutout to password managers. If it wasn’t for them there’s no chance I’d be able to make this post without bugging Paul to hack the Gibson and get me in here.

Now, on to the main course. If you haven’t watched it already you should really check out our latest YouTube update. To say it has some information you might be interested in would be an understatement. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

So yeah… that was a big one. 2023 is going to be a big year for us, and at the moment our focus is on our upcoming move to Moonbase Mk.VI, and you can help us make said move as smooth as possible, all while getting some cool merch!

We are pleased to introduce Moonbase Spacelines, a limited merch collection celebrating the launch of Moonbase Mk.VI!

The lineup includes patches, posters, pins, and a few other goodies you can learn about by heading over to the store page. This lineup is a limited edition run, so if you’re keen to get your hands on any/all of these items be sure to get your order in sooner rather than later!

So there you have it, the first blog post since late 2019, and what a doozy! As I said before, 2023 is a big year for LoadingReadyRun and we can’t wait to share it with you all!

Road Quest – Premiers October 14th, 2019
October 1st, 2019

Posted by james

You read that right, the long-awaited release date for our brand new series Road Quest is upon us!

If you aren’t sure what Road Quest is let me very briefly catch you up. In May of 2018 James, Ben, Beej, Adam, Ian & Alex all adventured outside the safety of the LoadingReadyRun Moonbase to go on an epic road trip. Of course us being us, we thought it would be a good idea to also bring along a crew of 4 and about 800 cameras to capture the entire adventure and capture it we did. After sifting through thousands of hours of footage over the past year and a bit Graham, Kathleen and Matthew have put together a fantastic 12 episode series that will be airing weekly starting on October 14th. Check out the trailer below and then check out all the details of its release below the video.

So, you excited? Ready to know how to watch it as it comes out?

What: Road Quest
When: Monday, October 14th, 2019 @ 4:00PM Pacific at our YouTube Channel – This will continue weekly (with a break during Desert Bus for Hope on November 11th) until the conclusion of the series.
How: We’ll be using YouTube Premiers for every new episode so you can watch live with members of the LoadingReadyRun crew and the rest of the community. After which they will be available for normal YouTube viewing.

And that’s about it. We are so excited to share this series with you all and we can’t wait for the 14th!

PAX West 2018
August 28th, 2018

Posted by james

It’s that time of year again! PAX West is coming up this weekend and a whole bunch of us are coming down. Let’s present this informative blog post in the style of a Q&A.

GENERAL Q&A

Q: Who is coming down this year?
A: Graham, James, Ben, Ian and Cori will be down all weekend. Beej and Heather will be around Friday-Sunday and Kathleen will be down Sunday and Monday.

Q: Where can I come see you and say hi?
A: We’ll be all over the place throughout the weekend, but the number one spot to come find us is at our booth in Bandland. You can find Bandland on the 6th floor surrounded by Riot Games Room // Console Freeplay Room // AFK Room. So feel free to swing by to say hi, get stuff signed, take some selfies or grab some merch.

Q: What kind of stuff will you be selling at Bandland?
A: All sorts of stuff. T-Shirts, MTG Accessories and Pinny Arcade pins both old and new. While I don’t have exact numbers on our old pins, I can assure you we will be well stocked with our brand new pin for this years con! Introducing SPOOPY! Isn’t it adorable?

Q: If I see you not at your booth can I say hi?
A: Yes, absolutely. I will say do your best to read the situation, if for instance you happen by someone blocks away from the convention center wearing headphones and reading a book/their phone maybe give them a break. Also the bathroom, don’t say hi to us in the bathroom, it’s never not weird.

Q: Will you be on any panels?
A: WILL WE BE ON ANY PANELS THEY ASK! Of course we will. Here is a comprehensive list of all the panels you can find us at this weekend.

PANELS

Will be streamed on PAX 3 Twitch Channel and hosted on our Twitch Channel

EXTRA INFO!

You best bet when it comes to keeping track of us during the weekend is giving us a follow on Twitter. If you have any questions hit us up there and we’ll do our best to keep an eye on messages throughout the weekend.

Another great resource you can take advantage during the weekend is the LoadingReadyRun Community Discord. There is a #cons channel in there that will likely see heavy use this weekend organizing meetups, finding a friend to wander around the hall with or grab a bite to eat. Click the link bellow to join the Discord.

And that should just about do it. I will leave you with the quick reminder of important things to keep in mind while at PAX.

  • You can’t do everything, don’t even try. Pick the stuff you really want to do and stick to that.
  • Sleep – Eat – Shower. I’m not gonna pretend like it’s easy to grab a solid 8 hours every night, but I do encourage you to try and find one night to do so. Eat, 3 times a day. It’s so easy to just forget about lunch when there’s as much to do as there is, but your body won’t like it. Don’t ignore your body. And finally shower, it’ll help keep PAX POX at bay and you’ll smell pretty.
  • Take breaks. Seattle is a fantastic city. Go down to the Market, catch a ride into Ballard and check out Card Kingdom, pick a direction and start walking away from the convention center to see the sights.

Ok. That’s that. Have a fun weekend, come say hi and remember to stay healthy, both mentally and physically 😀

Let’s Play some MTG Puzzle Quest
August 1st, 2018

Posted by james

Hey, everyone! It’s Beej! Just a heads-up to let you know that I’ll be coming in partway through the August 2 LRRMTG stream, playing Magic the Gathering: Puzzle Quest (I’ll be on at 4pm). MTGPQ combines the cards and lore of Magic the Gathering with the Match-3 RPG mechanics of Puzzle Quest. If you’re used to only playing the paper game, the mechanics might seem a little odd but I’ll do my best to walk everyone through it. I really like playing it and I’ll hope you’ll like this look at another way to enjoy Magic.

Also, D3 Go! is sponsoring that portion of the stream. They’ve given me some bonus game currency so we can open someM19 booster packs on stream (yes, there is deck building!) and to show off different events.
