A Stitch in Time

The new video is up. Head on over and check it out!

Paul provided me his thoughts on the writing and production of this video. I’ve quoted him below:

“A number of years ago we made a video called One Minute Shorts that was a collection of vignettes, each exactly one minute in length. My favorite of these was one that dealt with someone time traveling one minute into the past, and ever since doing that short I have had the idea in the back of my mind to take that concept and expand it into a full video. The actual shoot went surprisingly quickly, considering all the split-screening involved, and I am very happy with the final product. I think the workshop really shows off the new camera well (especially considering that the lighting in the basement where we shot was not that good).”

Pictured below is the timeline for the video that Paul used to keep his writing on track, to keep the characters straight, and so that all the entrances and exits happened when they were supposed to. He also tried to use it to explain the video to the rest of us, but I’m pretty sure it didn’t help.

If you think this video was confusing to watch, try writing it! (Click to embiggen.)

Operation: Speak ‘n’ Sell
May 28th, 2010

Posted by Tim

The next Runners Operation is upon us!

Anyone who’s been watching Inside the Moon knows what this is all about, but if you haven’t been watching my weekly live show (Fridays at 1 PM PST!), here’s the gist:

In Operation: Speak ‘n’ Sell, your task is to write and perform a voiceover for LRR’s latest t-shirt commercial (which you can view below). The commercial is advertising LRR’s sale on Desert Bus, WiiPlay, and How to Talk Like a Pirate shirts, which are now only $12 each!

Record your voiceover as a standalone audio file and send it, or a link to a hosted version of it, to [email protected] by Friday, June 11, 2010 for your chance to win the grand prize, which is one of the shirts you’re helping to advertise, with shipping included!

Special thanks go to Danzama, Brett Hospital, Vigafre, James Burton, and Graham Gier, who were willing to take pictures of themselves looking ridiculous for inclusion in the commercial. We salute you for putting yourselves out there!

If you’d like to discuss this operation or have questions regarding technical details, hit up this forum thread.

PhailhaĆ¼s 30

It’s been a while since your most recent fix of phail, but the wait is over! Courtesy of Graham and Kathleen, here’s Phailhaus 30:

This episode was edited by Kathleen, who finally has a computer to do it with again. Now that she does, there should be a slightly more consistent flow of Phailhausen for your viewing pleasure.

Some of you may be wondering why this is episode 30, when the previous Phailhaus is number 28. The reason for that is that episode 29 has been ready for a while, but YouTube has been refusing to let us upload it. Hopefully that will go up at some point, but until then, this can be a bit of LRRWiki fodder for all of you trivia lovers.

Enjoy!
