As far as a spiritual afterlife goes, I've always found reincarnation to have a nice feel to it. Though that also brings up the question of spirits, or ghosts, which I also find fascinating. I'm hoping for one or the other.
As for a physical afterlife.... zombies apocalypse.

Re: Australia
As someone who has lived in both Australia and Canada, I can tell you that its not all that different. The heat and dangerous animals are your main concern. And for some reason, Australia is pretty behind in the internets. Too expensive for fairly restrictive download limitations. But eh, just the i...

At my current job my perks include "Anything that fits into my pockets".
I collect pens though so it sort of turns into a perk anyway.

For those who enjoy lesser known characters as well as just plain great comics, I highly recommend 52. All of them have been released in a four volume set now.

I don't know if it'd classify as romantic comedy, but Chobits was pretty awesome. I also recommend Tsubasa Chronicle, Black Blood Brothers and Black Cat. Watched those recently, all excellent.

Re: Padded room vs. 2.0
Hm. Seems like clarification is in order. So what masamune translated is pretty accurate. I am currently employed in surveillance and.. yeah. That is the single most mind rotting job in existence. I really gotta get my act together and get out of those one. As for the why's and how's of living in Ca...

St. Albert, which is...part of Edmonton? Or possibly just very very close.
Are you originally from Australia?
Yup yup, been in Canada about three years now. And no one can place my accent!

Re: Padded room vs. 2.0
This seems like a good idea, 'specially just to get things off your chest, yeah? Another lost soul here, not sure what I want to do in life aside from the immediate. Like get a new job. Surveillance is a suckers job. I think my brain...is.. not good. Not good at all from that job. Blargh. Also need ...

Re: Dreaming of Pets
I would have a tortoise called Mr Pokeylope (a gold star to anyone who gets the reference). Psychonauts, right? Anyway, pets. I've always had a menagerie growing up and currently rent a room in a house with two fairly awesome cats. Based solely off such factors as cuteness and I've never owned one ...

Any of the 29 or so Godzilla movies. Particularly the original b&w. Nothing beats rubbersuited monsters destroying tiny cities.

Re: Weird Books
"Giraffes? Giraffes!" by Dr. and Mr. Doris Haggis-On-Whey. A deeply scientific book, not blinded by human prejudices or biased history. For example we see hard hitting evidence that giraffes created the Red Sea in 4064BC and that no giraffe is friend to Matthew Perry. ...Okay, its a short ...
