Re: Ano Ani – Spring 2017

Well Beej kind of was right about Warau Salesman NEW. The original Warau Salesman was a manga from the late 70s with a 100 plus episode anime from the late 80s. Even had a live action Drama in the 90s.

Re: Feed Dump 242 - Hellraiser 8

You guys know there are currently 9 Hellraiser films, right? Had gone in thinking there was some story or joke relating to the 8th (horrible) film (in a mostly-bad franchise). Oh well. Well to be fair they did stop numbering them after Hellraiser 4 and that was the last one to be theoretically rele...

Liking the lavs over the boom mics a lot less incidental noise. Though James was sounding a bit like he was in an empty room compared to everyone else.

For the Falkenrath Noble and Aristocratic looks like they goofed up the Japanese as well as that what you showed on screen, not the Chinese.

Just an FYI the pumpkins you buy to make into Jack-O-Lanterns aren't the same kind you eat. Eating pumpkins tend to be smaller, four to eight pounds, and have really thick walls for their size.

While you could eat a grocery store carving pumpkin they really don't have that good of flavor.

I haven't listened to the whole episode year but the big "it don't make sense" part for me was the 200 year old canned food. I don't care how good your canning method is. Even the best Nitrogen flushed canned dried beans only have a shelf life of 30 years. You can get some meats that are 2...

The active volcanoes on Hawai'i don't take up that much of the island. Kīlauea the most active is in the southeast of the island and has been erupting almost none stop since but 1983 mainly flows into the ocean. Mauna Loa is the big one and while active hasn't erupted since 1984. Most of the big isl...

Well the headset mics don't look as bad as I thought they might. Though I am wondering why you went that route instead of lavs? I did have trouble listening to this weeks episode, Cam and Kathleen sounded fine but Graham and Serge were a hot mess kept having to fiddle with volume to keep from gettin...

I'm with Graham on The Duke (aka the iPhone 6 Plus). I too am a big guy with sandwich plate sized hands so the big phone is just fine. Plus the fact that I have vision problems( ie can't see shit without my glasses) the bigger screen is great. Until I got The Duke I could only play Clash of Clans (a...

My recommendation is The Tripods Trilogy (The White Mountains, The City of Gold and Lead, and The Pool of Fire) it came out in the late 1960s. It is the story of a group of friends living after the aliens have taken over the Earth at the age of 14 everyone gets a "Cap" which suppress curio...

Re: Magnum Rewatch Ep09 - Lest We Forget

I swear I've seen a movie with a subplot exactly like this. Guy in love with prostitute, they plan to run a way together, there's a knife fight. Except from what I remember they guy does die in the attack and as the girl gets on the boat after the attack she's making up some story about how her boyf...
