Re: The depressing depression thread
@RytelCSF While it’s been a couple of days since your post, I hope it's not too late to respond. It’s fine to not trust a community right away. Or to have different levels of trust and comfort with different members of a community. There’s nothing inherently trashy or (wrongly) selfish about respect...

Re: Beej's Backlog
Because I'm currently replaying Shadowrun, I've started re-watching Beej's playthroughs of Dragonfall. I love watching Beej and Heather's discussions on what dialogue choices or moral decisions they should make. It's always nice to see other players who put that much thought into their character's a...

Re: Games You Would Like To See Remastered
A remastered version of the original Deus Ex is a good idea.
I'd like to see the Myth series, especially Myth: the Fallen Lords and Myth II: Soulblighter, remastered. Hell, even having the original version of those games legally released via a digital platform, like GoG, would be nice!

I've not watched any wrestling in a long time. While several others I knew growing up were into it, I didn't start watching until around the time of the nWo storyline in WCW and the "attitude" era of WWE. At least 10 years have passed since I paid more than casual attention. But thanks to ...

@ Robo4900 Godwin's Law of Time Travel: because all changes, no matter how small, result in Hitler winning. As the page says, "I knew I shouldn't have left that tap running back in 1932." There's also Hitler's Time Travel Exemption Act. Stupid, indispensable Hitler. @ Thread The Market rem...

Canadian stereotypes : I really try to challenge Canadian stereotypes at every opportunity but today I was walking down Yonge St. in Toronto and a firetruck honked very loudly and I clutched my chest and said “MY WORD” and as it drove past, a fireman leaned out of the window and apologized to me so...

Never saw Freddy Got Fingered, but I did watch Lindsay Ellis and Kyle Kallgren review it . That's as close as I've ever wanted to be to that movie. Tom Green wants to help the man in whatever way he can, including paying the fine. So, at least his fave has his back? Still, this man gets to be that g...

Re: The depressing depression thread
Anger is an incredibly productive driver; that's the whole point. It's your body's way of getting you to do shit NOW, because that's when it needs doing, and to think about it later. Unfortunately, rational thought doesn't usually sit well with this. Anger is an energy, anger is an energy... Anger ...

I don't know if Fayii is still consolidating what people share, but I'd like to post a few that I know of. I second the Nitronic Rush recommendation and for anyone who enjoys racing games. The art style and soundtrack are fantastic. Plus, as Arclight_Dynamo says, it's free and short.
Not tried Distance yet. Is it any good Arclight?

I have managed to exercise four times a week for the last four weeks. I think I am going to fall off the wagon next week as I will be in the Netherlands for a workshop. Even if you fell "off the wagon" after that four weeks, that was still impressive. Consistently sticking to a goal, like...

Another relevant to this thread's interests thing. There's a web series I like and want to share with you all. It's called Needs More Gay . Maybe it's been mentioned in this thread before? The name suggests that the host, Rantasmo, focuses on how and where queer representation could be better in med...

Arclight_Dynamo, I saw screenshots of that same Tumblr post shared around too. It’s awful and bigoted. Even if those comments represent only a minority of people on Tumblr or other social networks, they’re loud and hurtful. Moreover, it’s not unheard of for others to exploit hate, fear, or discomfor...

I want to second what hacofo mentioned, which was that diet played a major role in weight loss. In 2013, I weighed a little over 190 pounds. These days, I'm in the low 150s. Changing what and when I ate, and trying to stick to those changes as best I could, aided the most in losing the 40 pounds. Ex...

If that's the result of not stopping yourself, AxiomaticBadger, then I'm all in favor of you continuing to not stop yourself.
Wait, no. That's terrible advice.
What I mean is, you don't need to apologize. That was pretty funny.
