Re: Books you're reading now

Part of my New Years Resolutions is to read the Lord of the Rings trilogy since I haven't read it before. I'm on Fellowship now and should be starting Two Towers in the next week or so.

Re: Games That you own more than one copy of.

I just realized but I have/had two copies of every Monkey Island game. Secret of Monkey Island: PC, iOS, Monkey Island 2: LeChucks Revenge: PC, iOS Curse of Monkey Island: Two PC copies (one of them came with the first two games) Escape from Monkey Island: PC, PS2 Tales from Monkey Island: Two PC co...

What the frig Verizon box, you need another battery change? I changed you about five months ago. I should have known getting a slightly different battery was a bad idea when I ordered it but I was assured that this model would work even better than the one I was replacing. The one I replaced went fo...

Re: Gaming Confessional

I've never liked FF7. I keep trying to go back and play it but each time I end up terribly bored and want to smash the game. I should feel ashamed about liking this game, but one of my favorite games for the DS, and I should go back and finish it, is My World, My Way. Because sometimes you just want...

Re: The thread of win

Missed seeing John St. John, John Patrick Lowrie, and Ellen McLain at Magfest. BUT I did get to see friends I haven't seen in a year, played some great games with people I didn't know, and got to meet some really nice people from Canada. Shame I never got their names, but I get the feeling I've seen...

I've been meaning to post this for a while now but here's my Secret Santa stuff. Sorry for the desk clutter. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/Saxinthehall/IMG_0100.jpg Package, with bow tie covering up address. Not too exciting, but it's not everyday I expect to get something from Australia. h...

And quick weather update! It's going to be partly cloudy the next few days with a chance of rain on Sunday. Temps will be 1-14C/34-58F. Quick plug for a panel on Thursday night since a friend invited me to it. At 5:30 in panel room 3 there's a panel called "Today's Games SUCK!" I believe t...

I'll probably update this in a few days. According to weather.com it's going to be partly sunny/cloudy and temperatures could be about -1/30 to 12/54.

Smith said the hearing would resume at the “earliest practical day that Congress is in session.” Hours later, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California) tweeted that the committee would resume action Wednesday.

Just a heads up. If you want to go to MAGfest today is the last day to pre-reg. After that you'll need to pay at the door.

Re: The U.S. for you canadians...

I've got a question for the US. How is it that nobody in your country seems to realise that your president is a meaningless figurehead with absolutely no power at all? The writers on SNL seem to have it figured out. I can only find a clip on Hulu ( Link ) so it might not be available worldwide. Qui...

Re: So, I started Chrono Trigger over the weekend...

I still need to beat Chrono Trigger. I picked it up when it was released for the DS and I must have got distracted with some other game and stopped playing for whatever reason. I'll need to replay from the start since the only thing I remember doing was going to the added DS areas and fighting stuff...

Re: Virginia Tech shooting.. again

Oh my, I think Mr. Head needs to meet Mr. Desk several times right now. I had no idea there were pro-gun protests at Virgina Tech. I'm not anti-gun, I just think unless there's an invading force that's stomping down the road there's no reason to carry a gun if you're not with one of the armed forces...

Re: Virginia Tech shooting.. again

I don't think there's a lot of people that openly carry firearms around campus. I believe in August somebody was spotted walking around with a gun of some kind and that was enough to cancel classes. And after a quick search, here's the thing from August. http://www2.tricities.com/news/2011/aug ... r...

Copied and pasted from my G+ account because I'm full of rage over this. God dammit, there's another shooting at Virginia Tech. So far it's just a police officer and possibly somebody else. If this guy isn't taken out and we hear why he did this I will be even more upset if he was inspired by the or...

Hopefully I'll get my package shipped out by this weekend. Monday at the latest. While I wait for the last little trinket to arrive I'm spending my time decorating the postage box with LRR stuff on it. Although, there is one more art-y thing I could be working on to put in the box. I should mess aro...

From the way she's talked about some of the others guys she's been with, most of them turned out to be jerks. There was one guy she was with for several years but I never asked what was the cause of the break up. Knowing how the guy acted, I can guess what might have caused it. And to be honest, eve...

Re: The Big Relationship Thread

@PlasmaCow, I'm trying to come up with a good reason why I should wait and it pretty much comes down to personal preferences. Not really the best reason, but my last relationship started because of an online confession. Number of times I saw her in those three years? Zero. We would talk all the time...

Re: The Big Relationship Thread

I've been thinking, and over thinking, the pros and cons on if I should start a long distance relationship with a friend. This weekend I finally decided that I'm going to go for it. Worst thing that happens is she says no and we stay friends. But any real update on this will end up being in February...
