According to wiki, Tamina got a knee surgery which I guess counts as an injury.
I was also secretly hoping Bayley would be called up during draft.
Great podcast as always!

Re: Sidewalk Slam Ep6 - Wrestlemania 2016
I actually was wishing Zack Ryder won even though he was probably there because Neville was injured. Though based on RAW, I have no idea what they're gonna do anymore. Also, calling Rock's segment "a statistical outlier that should be discarded" was wonderful (speaking as someone who has t...

I may not have always listened to the podcast regularly because of university life, but it was fun listening to you two talk about dystopian YAs. I hope to hear/see more podcasts you two.

Re: Sidewalk Slam Ep04 - RAWs & Roadblock
There seemed to be a couple of spots where the sounds oddly cut out for me, one of them is at 2:00:11 to 2:00:18, any one else having that or is this a sound problem on my side? There was one early in the episode but I didn't catch it's time stampe. Other than that the episode was an absolute pleas...

Re: Some thoughts about Planeswalkers
I really like Nissa despite all the people banging on about retcon stuff. I also like Kiora (especially in her battle with Thassa) and Elspeth (I hope we get to see her again).

Here are some Tumblr posts by Mark Rosewater about Eldrazi and planeswalkers: http://markrosewater.tumblr.com/post/13 ... d-an#notes http://markrosewater.tumblr.com/post/13 ... razi#notes Also, Mark said that throughout the MTG story, other planeswalkers (no matter the colour) may join the Gatewatch.

I joined the LRR community late and only knew Bill from past LRR videos and Desert Bus, but his passing made me more sad than any celebrity passing in the last two years.
My condolences to his friends, his family, and everyone who knew him.

Re: Vorthos Story Corner: Battle for Zendikar
My main problem with this article is that it tries to squish all the characters in short scenes. I think would work if it were in a novel where it could have been longer, but it doesn't work as well in this article form. I also can't comment much on the authors since I don't know how much collaborat...

Re: Fight the Future 15 - Battle Royale
I think the book was more violent than the movie. Things I barely remember are the teacher didn't want her students take part, the collars also exploded if you are in a certain zone, and some of the students' background was more elaborated. There were also themes of rape and child prostitutio...

Re: Vorthos Story Corner: Battle for Zendikar
Kiora's story was great. I liked the story she told and how it reflected what she did and what she will do. On the topic of Kiora, I was talking to a person who opened Kiora at the prerelease and they were surprised when I told them she was holding Thassa's bident. I mean, do they not read up on the...

Re: Bbattle for Zendikar Prerelease
This was my first time at a prerelease.
Of the 4 rounds I lost 3 and sat out for 1. I played a mediocre U/G control deck and splashed some red. I did however get an expedition which the store owner gave me 100$ for and someone gave me all of their unused commons and uncommons. Overall, I had fun.

Things you may want to look at:
Ob Nixilis (Ob Nixilis planeswalker card, Altar's Reap, Demon's Grasp, Void Winnower)
Angels (2 of them seem to have halos around their eyes)
Also, fun fact (according to MTG tumblr): The Hedron Grinder goblin is female

As someone who has taken courses in neuroscience, I also had a problem with the lesions. I mean, if someone invented a pill that can regrow brain cells, they deserve a Nobel Prize and a billion dollars.
Great episode! I really liked Tally as a guest.

First time poster, long time reader here! I can't wait to see how this goes, especially with Nissa's storyline which is to come in 3 weeks. I waiting for an entire week is not my strong suit. Also, next time's vampire leader is an actual creature card. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/ ... eid...

Re: Magnum Rewatch 22 - Memories Are Forever
I know In Colombo, they reused an actor a few times as the victim, so I think it might be an '80s thing.
Also, a bit off topic, but I recently did edited a video for a studio course I'm taking and as much as I enjoyed it, it made my appreciate a lot more the work you put in this stuff.

Re: Magnum Rewatch EP 16 - J "Digger" Doyle
I actually watched this episode after listening to the podcast, and I have to agree!
One scene I thought was funny was when Magnum and Digger rescues Higgins
Higgins commands Zeus and Apollo to kill Magnum and Magnum calls it a "reflex action."
Great episode and great podcast!

Re: Fight the Future 04 - The Giver
There is one detail from the book that I found interesting, though I have not watched the movie I remember something about people gaining the memories after Rosemary was "released" which The Giver was brought in to deal with. It also mentioned that Jonas can never be "released" e...

Re: Fight the Future 02 - The Host
As someone who has never read or saw The Host, it sounds cheesy. Then again so is Twilight and other dystopian YA romance novels/movies.
I really liked the Miserables reference and the jokes you guys made. Keep up the great podcasting.

Off topic: One thing that I find funny about distopian stories is that they disregard the existence of the entire world. I mean, what happened to international relations? Has the country been closed off to all immigration?

I think I am finally going to make use of this account I made a year ago by asking you a question:
