There are other reasons to watch porn, ie. the cinematography, lighting, and character development....

Only if LRR made porn...or Joss Whedon...or if it starred Edward James Olmos. Or a pornographic LRR-Whedon collaboration starring Edward James Olmos. That I would watch, for every possible reason.

Actually, that would be a great script for LRR.

"Are you a typical American? Are you xenophobically terrified by homosexuality? Well guess what! Homosexuality is funny when you apply it to non-humans! Like dogs! We've got a crappy MS Paint sketch of a dog, and we plastered a shitty rainbow on top of it! Lulz! And we've got a horizontally flipped copy of it just beneath that one! Hilarious!"

I imagine a psychologist could have oodles of fun with this. Relating homosexuals to dogs as a kind of mockery? Perhaps even dehumanization, all based in feelings of unease, self-doubt, or perception of threat? Even just finding someone's difference of preference to be suitable as a basis for humor is pretty messed up xenophobia. Not to mention profiling and reinforcing of stereotypes about gays, or possibly even reinforcing the disregard of animals rights?

It's pretty much attached to the right side of the screen constantly right now...and though it's not THAT bad...I'd hate for LRR to get associated by newcomers with WoW Gold Traders...

That's really your complaint? Have you seen the front page?
It's all myspace-esque "dude, you have a crush!" ads, and they changed around the frontpage layout.

Were we warned about this? I'm a little forgetful of the little stuff that gets thrown around in the podcast.

This policy also applies to side design changes. Historically everyone reacts negatively to a site layout, and then after a month has passed realize that we didn't just do it to screw with you all, and that the new layout is actually better. Why add to that by telling people in advance so they can get their panties in a bunch about how we're ruining everything before they've even seen the new design?

Realistically I don't think I would've overreacted if I had heard beforehand, it just caught me off guard.

But you know what they say guys "Mo' money, Mo' Problems"

When I saw this topic 20 mins ago, I decided to disable ad block for this site. I mainly use it for obnoxious sites I don't care for anyway. I have, several times clicked on adverts on sites I like because I liked what they were selling. Then I saw this:

It was moving about and being generally annoying as well. I'm fine with you guys using adverts to get monies, and I understand they have to be somewhat obnoxious so they don't get ignored, but please at least get targeted ads. While I'm glad you stuck to banners, until you get targeted ads Ad block is going back on.

We've only got to deal with lame ads until people start buying our ad space, apologies for the annoying jittery ones.

If you could inform me when at least 80% of them are un-lame, it would be appreciated.

How exactly do you go about advertising that you have advertising space?
