Phailhaüs - 08

For videos that aren't... y'know... "real". Whatever Thing, Phailhaüs, etc.

I very much approve of the ROBOT ROCK content shown in this video.

Wow, I think the Phailhaus videos seem to be getting better and better as they go along.

This was a great idea. Though I do miss Morgan.

My favourite Phailhaus yet! Everything flowed really well, and I love the little asides you had.

The Steve Irwin joke was predictable, yet still hilarious.

Mr Stark, with these epic Phailhaüsen you are really spoiling us.

Not sure about the stubble, though ...

You know, this is probably not going to be quite as effective given that I'm desperately in love with Matt, but I honestly feel like there was a level of comedic chemistry between the Graham and Matt here that has yet to be present in the Phailhaus. Don't get me wrong, I've loved every single episode, and it's always a supreme delight to have any of the other cast members in it. But Matt really seemed to fall into this role very naturally. He had me in stitches several times.

"I put on my robe and wizard hat," classic. Classic.

I liked it. And Graham looks alright with the stubble, go for a full beard! Then we could have another LRRumble between Paul's Epic Beard and Graham's Newcomer Beard!

And yes, Matt has lost weight.

When ever the camera cuts to Matt or Kaphleen or any of the guest stars is that all improvised stuff or something you both find funny?

Best Phailhaus yet.

Graham should grow a nice ZZ Top beard. Stubble is cool and all, but you just can't beat a mighty ZZ Top beard. Damn smooth.

Everything in the Phailhaus is made up on the spot.
We might try a couple takes to make the delivery better, but it's all made up right then.

Also, in general both parties write their own jokes, but both do tend to come up with one another's lines as well.

It's a very organic process, and I love it.

I'm interested in how a Phailhaus is made. Do you both just sit in your room, and every time one of you has something to say, you just flip the camera around?

Some interestingly whacky news from Germany:
Man falls down elevator shaft, woman breaks his fall!

Mr Wilhelms fell down 25 ft. of the lift shaft only to be saved by landing on top of a 54-year old woman...who fell down the same shaft 24 hours earlier.

But it gets worse, because apparently by falling on top of her, he saved her life

Also - I forgot to mention Matt's "I was hungry, fuck off" bits.
I found them adorable & hilarious.

What? Like honestly, what? What the fuck?

What kind of elavator conditions exist in which not one, but TWO people fall down an elevator shaft? What, do they call the elevator, the doors open to an empty shaft, they walk in anyways? Is there a trap door floor? What the hell. How do you fall down an elevator shaft unless you're really not paying attention or are drugged?

And what's really messed up is the fact that the woman was only discovered by the guy falling in after her!

Definitely the best, funniest Phailhaus yet. Between the chocolate chip throwback, Graham's dancing, the absolutely FANTASTIC slight of hand (Seriously, how the heck do people get so good at that? I always fumble things up...).

And yes, we have problems in Florida. We're all so old and stupid, we think witches are real! You use a computer? You're a witch!

Now I'm going to be on the lookout for Phail-around-town for Pics of the Day.

Matt does look like he's lost some weight. Go go Matt! Go go Matt!

Pardon my ignorance, and the obviously different delivery themes used between the two, but isn't Phailhaus more or less a different kind of "Whatever Thing"?

However, the Phailhaus is Graham's thing, and has absolutely no schedule whatsoever; whereas the Whatever Thing was in Morgan's hands and had a schedule. So in summary: the Phailhaus is a much-more-often occurring WT.

Yes, but that was really more of Morgan's thing.

Phailhaüs has a slightly different format in some things, and it is not treading on the WT.

The Phailhaus is a combination of the best elements of the Whatever Thing and the Idiot Room.
