Well I'm finally back home/at uni, and have internet access! So I've started playing this again, is anyone else still around?

CapnLogan is the best dev. Those ships all look pretty good, but damn is the Vor'Cha excellent. I'm a sucker for proper canon ships, though.

The LoadingReadyRunners, on both Federation and Klingons. The only people in it that still play are my father and myself though. Empath's broke, and everybody else just kind of wondered off I think. The high-end content is really only fun if you have a full party, and the ground combat definitely needs a complete overhaul (allegedly coming, but I don't think what they've said so far will be enough) before the game as a whole becomes fun enough to come back to, even with the new weekly content.

I let my subsciption expire, maybe I'll try playing again after the game gets a bit more mature, it felt really boring at times especially the away missions.
I hope the LRR fleet is still active by that time ;)

Well I officially decided to stop playing last week. The ground combat just kills the game, and I'm not going to put up with it anymore.

My frustration over ground combat had yet to build up vs how fun space combat was, especially when playing with other people. Plus I was gone for 4 months.

Yup. It's how MMOs usually work. Unless you have $400.

Or unless you're a spambot. That's possible too.

It's a spambot. Why does this forum have so many spambots?

Also, who cleaned out the Runners fleet bank? I checked it out for the first time since Feb, and it's almost empty.

Nope. Fleet collapsed and I didn't see a single person from the Runners when I played for a month in January.

The last person who was there totally cleaned out the fleet bank and then left the fleet. It wasn't somebody I recognised from this thread, and they must have joined sometime after I left the game last.

Which is annoying, as some of my stuff was in the fleet bank. GREAT JOB GUYS.

Man, I was totally waiting for the time I could actually equip anything in the bank. Sure, it would be like 10 years from now, but I wanted it.

A couple of people asked me back in Jan if they could join the Runners, to which I had to explain that I was the only remaining active member of the fleet (and that I hadn't played for months).

I've made Captain and am floating round in my Intrepid. I was considering adding some things to the fleet bank, but if the fleet is dead I'll leave it.

All I need is $300 and I will play enough to make up for the other 15 odd people who used to be in the fleet.

For reals.

Well, if you're active in the game, Keab, I say you're welcome to use the Fleet Bank as you see fit, even as nothing more than extra storage! ;)

I kinda miss it, but I also like not having the debt collectors call me up daily for their past-due monies, so until my financial situation improves, Nadene & her kin will have to stay stuck in those transporter buffers. :P

I'm probably going to drop my sub at the end of this month. I've had my free month, and am happy to pay for one more, but £10.99 a month isn't sustainable going forward. I'd like to make Rear admiral before I stop though.

I'm just going to throw this out there real quick; now that I have a semi-stable income again and box copies of the game have become so dirt cheap as of late I'm considering getting back into the game. Other than Keab, who's apparently about to drop his sub, does anyone actually play this game anymore?

It's not the game that's expensive. It's the subscription.
