Poor Ensign Ricky, he won't be remembered... mostly.

So i just bought the second item of the Borg-Ship-Items Set and realized that those items are the new way they assimilate us. My ship looks Half-Borg already. All they had to do is offer us a few Set-Items and we queue up to be assimilated.

Indeed, I won't be going for those unless you can disable visuals. I'm not into looking like my ship had to be rescued from the Borg, I'm not THAT incompetent as a Captain...

You can disable them.
Also as a tip for anyone trying to get the full set. You get the console for the first mission in the u(n)dine-arc. If you can't take that mission skip every possible mission above it in the Story-Arcs menu. It only became available to me after i did that.

Dailies, STFs, etc. Basically whatever you do when you reach top level in any muhmorpuhger. I like to do Fleet Actions personally, I'm useless at PvP.

I'm looking forward to getting some Runner STFs going; Nadene is basically a dilithium farm for dailies and duty officer assignments - I've got a couple of alts grinding on either side of the war to check things out, but they keep giving her any non-duplicate History Datachips so I can get a whole collection on one toon; I may just start selling crystals for C-points (I wanna try that dang Nebula...)

And the KDF PvE plot is interesting enough, though I had a bit of a hassle getting past one meat-grinder of a mission; my BoP and Raptor just didn't have the endurance to make it through, so I fiddled around until I made Captain and took a Vor'cha battlecruiser - easy-peasy. :)

And I have to say that I'm enjoying the Vor'cha - it's surpringly nimble with an RCS Mod console!

Anyways, I'm sure there's duty off. sitting idle that need new assignments, so I'll clew this up. :D

I'm enjoying my Klingon in small doses at the moment. I feel kinda aimless with my main now I've hit Lvl 50.

Yeah, I'm basically playing 'maintenance' with my three toons - once a day I'll login on each, clear all the completed duty officer assignments, set a score of new ones, do a daily exploration cluster and then stop off at the faction's academy and get a historical datachip (or two if the hourly event is anywhere when I'm not working/asleep) and try to collect all of them with my 'main' Tac.Off V-Adm.

The engi fed I'm currently grinding has made it up to the Heavy Cruiser, and I'd like to think I've cobbled up a rather nice mod of it:

Oh, and if anyone's interested in doing crafting over at Memory Alpha/Qu'Onos' Forge, I've got TONS of anomaly data of ALL levels - even the rare 'traces' - just taking up far too much of my bank space, and I keep getting plenty of gear to the extent that I either drop the excess over in the Runners' fleet bank, or hawk it on the exchange, so I don't NEED to craft anything for myself. :J

I've been playing a bit too. Haven't tried the new crafting system yet, but since I have so many anomaly data as well, I should give it a go. I've also dumped a ton of stuff back into the Runners bank, so it's fairly full up these days.

Wow.

The Anniversary event seems to have really brought ppl back to the game; I'm sitting in the login queue. :)

CORRECTION: Now I just got kicked out in prolly the middle of a 70-ish queue and NOW attempts to login get timeout errors; methinks the login server's having trouble?

There is a quest at the Earth Spacedock, by the Shipyard, that rewards a new Ship (Odyssey Class).

Yeah, got that yesterday (and the Bortas battlecruiser for my KDF toon...when it reaches lvl50); had a little fun with the 'joy buzzer':

Yeah, I took an Orion chick for my KDF sci off, but *I* dress my greenskin in a functional, protective and respectable suit of armor, unlike many of the toons I see skipping by wearing about the same as a bikini.

So after getting the 'fiery party favour', and trying out all the random features, I saw a 'skimpy G.I.R.L.' standing next to Q - apparently checking inventory or something.

So I faced away from 'her' and repeatedly ran my sprayer - got the sparkles, and the fireworks, and the bubbles, and THEN I got the (non-damaging) 'flamethrower' and quickly turned it on her and circle-strafed.

She seemed to notice this, and kept turning to face me. So I announced in local

Code: Select all

Hey, you looked a little COLD with all that nothing you're wearing, so I thought I should help you out. ;)

...and then I fired the sprayer off again, and lo and behold, fate decided to back me up since I got the flames again.

N-N-N-N-NECRO!

...So.

Any Runners still playing? I know Gunner's likely limited time and/or access to broadband. Gaspode last posted in May of '12 (but logged in without posting a few weeks ago, and kilsac's last post is above.

I've been curious about the Fleet Ops - starbase & embassy building. If anyone else is around, I wouldn't mind scheduling some 'team time', but if y'all have given up on the thing, wouldya mind if I 'ursurped' leadership of the Runners to give this a go?

Oh, and anyone who IS playing - are you as annoyed as I am about the constant announcements of this player or that player getting a Jem'Hadar ship in a RW$-bought pack? Is there any way of turning that notification off; a lot of the time it'll obscure mission text and things! :P

For me its been a lack of time for playing any games, and a lack of interest in this game in particular. I'd like to get back to playing STO, but there's too many other games I'm behind on that are ahead of it.

Best of luck, let me know if you need me to sign in to actually transfer leadership of the fleet to you.

Actually, since I'm the 'senior officer' rank just below leader, I have the option to claim leadership if said leader hasn't logged in in a month.

Oh, and not just for you but directed to everyone,

Legacy of Romulus

The Romulans (and Remans) become the third playable faction on May 21, 2013...

...maybe Matt WILL get his D'Deridex, after all? ;)

Welp, grinding slowly at the 'Runners Moonbase'; hope to soon reach Tier I (!)

Gotten a second toon up to Vice Admiral, so that should speed things up a little.

Also restarted a third toon (main is Tac, 2nd is Eng, this is Sci) to complete the triad, and I got an interestingly-named Bridge Officer:

I was playing quite regularly until my parents' house burned down and they moved in with me. Now, it's very infrequent, due to them watching TV (I have my 32" screen as my computer monitor.), but I hope to get the First Contact Day thing this year since I missed it last year.
Also, I'm in the fleet from Real Life Comics: The Genesis Project
If y'all want me to swap allegiances, it'll take some pretty sweet perks, as I've got a good thing going over at Genesis. But I will surely add you guys to my friends list. :)
