I was up for moba, but I've decided (again) to never touch them. They're not healthy for me. And the amount of swearing certain streamers do, it proved my outlook correct thus far.

Fair point M_M, I try playing with people I know and like the times I do play and make it a point to defend people being shouted at. But yes, MOBAs are quite toxic.

I do enjoy playing with friends.
It's just friction arises when friends care more about winning and their own personal success than the social connections they have.
It is just a game, but it's a game with friends.

It might be unfair to have one friend that holds four people back, but that's the point of friendship. Tollerance and understanding.

MOBAs are a good way to gauge someone's friendship towards you. See how long you or them decide they want to ditch each other.

Made a steam group, mostly for casual play. But anyone who wants to play Dota can join.

I said I'd never play a MOBA again... but I tried Strife out of curiosity, only because it went into Open Beta when I chose to stop "playing MOBA ever again".

It's fine, sameish problems as MOBAs... but... YOU CAN PLAY AS A CAT.

So it's instantly AWESOME.

Even Moxie cannot hold a strong enough facade to disguise what I fundamentally hate about MOBAs.

If you have access to Heroes of the Storm, now is the time to play it. The game is unique enough that the majority of the player-base are bad and don't know what they're doing.
Anyone who screams at you for being bad had have leg to stand on!

Also, you cannot communicate with the other team.

I revisited Heroes of Newerth after a few years break. Half the players I interacted with were very toxic. I uninstalled after a few days. The community is small and the game is unique. I just wish the were fewer arse holes playing. I told them that their game would die if they stayed being dicks.

I don't know HON is still alive. I've been playing DOTA 2 and LOL last year but I stop as well. I lessen my game time because of my family. It's been almost 10 years and I'm still stuck with Dota lol. I remember playing Dota in Warcraft Frozen thrones. Kids playing today probably didn't know about it anymore.
