That was my understanding as well. I haven't seen it go for cheaper than this right now.

It was the $5 in the Flash Sale as well. I know this because I was upset when I learned I missed it.

I don't recall the price for the flash sale, but it was also $5 a couple months back (maybe the Thanksgiving sale), because I remember it being that price when I picked up The Missing Link.

Yeah, it was $5 for the 'Black Friday' sale - and that's when I picked it up.

I can't remember if it was $7.50 or $5 for...well, fuck I can't even remember if the daily sale came first and the flash sale second or vice versa; which is pretty pathetic as ONE OF THEM IS STILL GOING ON RIGHT NOW! :( (looking it up would be cheating ;) )

Here's a question - not that it has any effect on your cards/badges/profile xp/etc. ... but just out of curiosity, how many of your Community's Choice votes turn out to 'win'? :) Are you trying to 'stay with the pack', or going with some other strategy? Or even voting with NO strategy?

But, yeah, don't get old. It sucks. :P

I'm just voting for the one I would most like to buy, were it on sale.

Very few of my choices actually win. I really wanted Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, but that either did not win or I missed it somehow.

I vote randomly unless I see something I like/want.

ETA: Turns out I bought it anyway. I had forgotten until just now.

I'm voting with what I hope wins, or what will be cheaper and I don't have if it wins, since I'm more likely to check that out. I had been hoping to get Wolf Among Us back on sale and get it as a late Xmas gift.

I'm voting for what I'd most like to buy, and if there's nothing I will, either a game I liked to support it more, and barring that, an indie game that could probably benefit from the sales.

I got a free key for Crusader Kings 2 in a magazine, I already own it though. Would anyone like it?

If there's nothing I want in the list, I vote for the biggest cut in price.

At time of writing Sanctum 2 complete pack is $6. I've played it before on single player it was a lot of fun, would be much more so with others.

I've been considering picking the game up, though I don't have a lot of time to play it right now, so if anyone else is interested you could give it to them. If not, I'd be happy to take it. :D

I'll take it. Jamfalcon has first dibs, though.

No, don't worry about me. I've got five or six games on my too play list and am putting in less than an hour a day, so I don't really have time for something with that much depth right now anyway.

Is anyone interested in a copy of The Dead Linger? Looking to get a bit in trade value for it.

I usually vote for the one I want, or the one I don't have more often than not. If I don't have any and don't know them, I usually go for the one that would end up being the cheapest, because that's the one I'd be most likely to get.

Due to having used a new credit card without realizing the implications, I can no longer buy stuff from the community marketplace. I'm a bit of a badge nut, so that makes me sad.

So if anyone is thinking of buying a game worth about $5, I'd appreciate it if we could do a trade. Two full sets of the winter globes, along with an extra Globe 8, 9, and 10, as well a Megatitan and Hoff Meister cards from Revenge of the Titans for a $5 game. At about 18 cents each for the globes, and 20 cents for the two titan cards, that should be less than $5. I'd appreciate it.

Why can't you use the new credit card to top up your wallet balance?

Because they lock down your ability to buy stuff on the market if you use a new form of payment, which I learned that hard way. I added the money to do that. I had a Paypal account tied to it. But I figured 'I'd rather just give Steam all of my money rather than Paypal.' And this is how I was rewarded.

Ah kap lad, you should have said so sooner, I tend to indiscriminately sell my trading cards on Steam, add me and I'll send you a few over.

For free, of course.

You don't have to give me anything if you don't want. It's more that it kind of sucks, as I wanted to get to level 40 and get a few more tries at the special holiday items. Then Steam just kind of said 'lol, nope.' And according to the support site, there's no way I can have it repealed.

They really should give a warning of the consequences when you do that - they do when you 'gift' someone cards or whatnot in the trade window: a popup that you have to acknowledge to continue.

Why not the same thing:

Code: Select all

It appears you are attempting to use a method of payment we do not previously have on record.  To protect against the potential for fraud, we must temporarily suspend your account's access to the Community Market if you continue.  Are you sure you wish to go ahead with this payment method change? [Y/N]

Would that be SO hard?
