Yes, but as any computer scientist could tell you, "Considered Harmful" is considered silly.

Having heavily used languages where the goto is key, I would posit that it is far to sweeping a generalization. Djikstra himself was arguing against the inclusion of a goto statement in new high-level languages, not against its use in lower-level languages.

I heard the quirky music in the introduction, and I thought "oh please let this be HUSTLE pleeeaaase." After that it felt like it was taking forever for the video to get to the HUSTLE trademark music and opening theme, but when it did get there I almost punched the air.

Am I the only one who derped & waited a day & a half for the discussion thread to appear under the LRR Videos forum before realizing it would be in the CommodoreHUSTLE area?

considering I usually derp and put it in the LRR videos section until I'm reminded it's CH, probably not.

God, I loved this video. Though the extended cold open had confused me a bit and ti took me a while for me to realize it was a cHUSTLE vid, but I'm always glad to see cHUSTLE.

But good job as always.

Also, was anybody else thinking Jer was making a troll face throughout the video?

Club Soda featured more prominently in the Desert Bus Trailers video than I remembered. But there ya go.

I remember seeing some of the clubbing during Desert Bus, but I also remember being quite tired and not really understanding what the hell was going on.

you could epicly propose to someone, club them, but have the club be like the coffee cup,and come apart at the seams to reveal a ring/ring box.

Due to memories of Desert Bus, I had the most bizarre sensation of watching this video before despite it blatantly having been the first time I'd seen it. The coffee cup gag probably drew the best reaction as (unlike the vest) I wasn't explicitly expecting it.

In my experience, goto is only a big no-no in high level programming. The further down the chain you go the more acceptable it becomes.

I actually developed the habit of drinking Club Soda thanks to this video, thanks LRR. Once again influencing the lives of many.

The next step is to select a target to start clubbing.

Have you tried anonymous clubbing, via post?

All you have to do is attach a note: whoever receives the package will feel your wraith (sic) HALFWAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY MUAHAHAHAHAHA.

"I'd prefer a flat mattress."
"Hmm.. Well, it could be done.. If I take the lumps out of the mattress, and put them in the beer, you'd have a flat mattress and a lumpy beer!"

Oh god, I just noticed Alex's demented "Haha, I win." just before the cut to credits.

Obviously I've seen the line but I didn't quite get the subtext Alex was giving in the delivery.

I assume that would involve Jer's departure.

I believe it does add some further sinister-ness?
