Awesome.

Maybe it shouldn't be tagged with "loading ready run paul", though? I dunno.

I assume the "B" stands for "Be".

Was I the first one to find Borington's site? I know I was the first to comment.

edit: Apparently, my comment was deleted, I'm guessing to make it look more boring.

Well, if your plan was to make ok virals that would get people to investigate leading them to this site, you win. The actual episode wasn't funny, but then again, I'm American.

Keeping within the Power rangers references, if you wish for me to be your Green Ranger (Kinda part of the group, but still bad ass and independent and not Canadian) I will.

This was pretty much our plan, yes.

Bob Odenkirk did something similar. In America, we got this channel HBO, and he used to have a show on called Mr Show (Similar to your Kids In the Hall) and basically he filmed a convincing viral and then released the back story.

LOL. We know about American TV. We're Canadian, not Albanian. :p

At any rate, to be fair to our video, commodoreHUSTLE, especially this episode is fairly self referential, and plot continuous, so if you didn't watch the other episodes you're kind of watching it in a vaccuum.

That could have affected the funny. Regardless, welcome to LRR. Please explore, and hopefully you'll find sufficient reason to stay!

Well, I mighta been mad someone tried to pull a fakey over on me, so yeah. I'll check your stuff out.

This kicked some ideas in my head. There's viral videos, there's fake viral videos posing as viral videos, there's fake viral videos purposely faked, but you guys should take it a step beyond. Go off the grid with the shit, get a good many accounts on places like Digg, Reddit, Break for a couple months. Let it simmer like a crockpot. Start fake blogs, fake news sites. Get intricate, but keep your dealings un-googleable.

Create some sorta fake viral videos that people look into to find something, which turns up something else. I don't know. There's a lot of room beyond mere "here's an episode". It'll get you a ton of exposure. Cheers.

So do we :)
In fact, I love Mr. Show, it's pretty fantastic.

I don't know what being American has to do with not finding the episode funny, as the majority of our viewership is from the states, but hey, that's cool.

Yeah, I'm from Texas and I found it funny and I only started coming to LRR a bit after ArMEGAddon was released. In fact I watched CH-Street before the first one and I still found it funny without having to know what lead up to it.

Well, I only came across the video cause I was near-hoodwinked by a fauxral-vid.

Anyways, it seems half the exports (besides contemplative progressive rock and acadian nationalism) to America is Comedians. Doing something right.

Actually, your viral attempts are pretty funny. As youtube satire, it works.

Well, honestly we created the virals mostly because we're really big on meta-humour here. and since commodoreHUSTLE is all about us, playing us, doing web-video, which we actually do, it only made sense that if we were going to reference making fake virals we might as well actually make and release them. Certainly the hope was that one of them would hit, and apparently hit it has, at least reasonably well. But the marketing aspect of them was mostly secondary. It was an experiment, more than anything.
