why was there rolling static in that transmission at the beginning!? Is the guy broadcasting on analogue UHF?

I like to think that in this game (as in others where you can't see the door being pushed or manipulated in any way, like Half Life 2), the protagonist is opening the door with his dick.

Which is why there are so few female leads in shooters.
