Good intro, good outro, good middle bits and comedy bits. I like it. Continue your work!

That silhouette of Jer? Was it taken from the ENN video Snobcon 2010 at the 3:55 mark?

What bugs me the MOST about the colo(u)r scheme is that it doesn't go very well with the blue that surrounds the video on the PA page. But I'm sure I'll get used to it.

When i seen it, i figured that was just sort of the polar opposite of the ENN colours, i mean, i don't mind it at all, though i do notice it.

Also can't wait to see ray-anne quack benser's debut.

I liked it, I was really a fan of ENN and it's good to see the series come back in a slightly different format. I thought the visuals were professional looking and snappy, and Bradley's music was choice as always. I have one question though...if the other series you've hinted at will also somewhat replace ENN, what will set it apart from CheckPoint? It's gonna be interesting to see you guys cover the same week's worth of video game news twice in a week and I'm wondering how you'd keep it fresh.

my ps3 is a petite redhead who is currently lying naked on my bed, saying something which sound extremely sexual in a language which i don't understand. 1) am i safe, 2) i don't have a condom and i have a girlfriend back in england, should i just go with it anyway?

great to see notENN back again! Good to see you found another place for that style of humour, because my life was a poorer without it.

The webcomics industry is a very unique one, as I'm well aware having been operating in it for almost 4 years now, but this isn't the place to discuss it, as Graham and Matt have pointed out already.

Unfortunately I must also chip in with a dislike for the colour scheme, it seems to 80's and cheap-feeling for me. Otherwise though, I loved it, and I think PATV is probably the best place for this type of show.

I am so glad to see ENN back, in whatever form it takes. It is the Escapist's loss that they cancelled the series, and PA's gain!

I'm not sure what it says about me that I don't have a problem with the colour scheme, despite objections to the contrary here.

(I'm also not sure what it says about me that I had not noticed Kathleen's low "neck" line until it was pointed out, but that's merely just personal reflection)

I never notice it until people start pointing it out. Then, of course, I re-watch the video, just to see if they're right. :P

Whatever, all of you look very classy and very cool.

Do you actually make money off your comic, then, Tim?

I'd always assumed you had quite a small readership.

I've got a fairly consistent readership of just over 1200 people, but my financial benefits from it is certainly not fit for discussion here.

Well done LRR :D

I imagine that PATV will be a much better outlet for this kind of show than Escapist was for ENN.

I'm also really happy to see that LRR's eggs of financial well being are no longer all in one basket, so to speak.

May I just say that I'm pleasantly surprised at the small amount of asshole ripping the PA forums are giving us? I sort of always expect the worst.

Although I just don't hear the audio issues some of you have. My hearing is not amazing, but man some of you must have some pro setups.

Full disclosure: I'm "Propriety" on there. :B

Honestly, at first, I was pissed off at how ridiculous some of the comments were. "Sounds like mud." "ZOMG SOUND IS SO BAD" "You should get drunk", "Meh, only kind of funny, I guess I'll keep watching." Who crowned them the kings of comedy?

I didn't hear anything wrong with the audio, and have continuously re-watched it to see if I can detect anything. If anything at all, it must be extremely minor, yet people keep harping on it like it's a huge issue.

But, yes, in comparison to the massive frenzy of idiocy it could be, the forum thread has been relatively mild. (Mega64 gets railed on pretty hard... honestly, I understand why.)

It's still idiotic, though. God, I hate SE. Everyone there is so self-righteous, thinks they're hilarious because they can use sarcasm and personally attack people. I'm sure you're experienced with taking comments with a grain of salt (Escapist forums...) but double, nay, triple that salt intake for the PA forums.

Anyway. I am very much looking forward to more CheckPoint! Lampooning news is one of my favorite things, and it's even better when it's done by my favorite people!

Eh, when I listened to it the first time, even I could hear it. The Vocals sound a lot deader and more muffled than the music, and they contrast against eachother sharply.

That said, I think it's the accoustics of the set (and possibly the high-pass filter?) more than the quality of the recording.

That is, it's an issue of tonal quality, not technoloical quality.

Actually I don't understand all the M64 hate. I've seen those dudes at PAX. They're treated like GODS. They have way more fans and sell way more merch than we could ever hope to. SUPER lineups to see them and packed panels. Whatever you think about their comedy, they SEEM to be pretty danged popular.

FYI - in person they are nice guys!

My favorite aspect of ENN was the actual news reports with that LRR comedy twist put onto them. So the fact that it seems like CheckPoint will be mostly that makes me excited for the show! Really enjoyed this episode, and I'm eagerly looking forward to more!

Oh, yes! I've seen their booth, always super packed with fans, and they do seem quite the nice people. I've never met them before, of course. Their style of comedy is really not my thing (makes me feel uncomfortable and kind of awkward), but a lot of people do like it... but it's quite different from PA's style of comedy, I think, which is why I said I can understand why the forums don't like them.

Whatever. The PA forums are terrible anyway, except for the PAX forum which is pretty friendly. So forget them! D:<

This.

I noticed it immediately as well, and found it jarring. Once the "OMG! My favourite LRR content is back!" wears off, I'll probably be irritated by it more.

Some of the overlay graphics seemed a bit glitchy and occasionally distracting also. It's probably just the normal growing pains of getting into a new series. I'm sure my expectations, and the final format of the show, will meet at some sort of happy medium in the near future :)

If the overlay graphics look glitchy, that's probably intentional. It's a style thing.

The audio, we've addressed for tonight's shoot and it should be all good next Monday.

Nice to see the return of ENN^H^H^H^CheckPoint, though I'm hoping for a flavour of the original Onion esque format to complement the later Daily Show esque format. Didn't have any problem with either the colour scheme or the audio to be honest, dunno what the fuss is about. Jer's outline does indeed have the quality of Grit from Advance Wars about it.

My PS3 has four controller ports, an expansion pack slot and plays cartridges. Am I safe?

You know what's funny, you didn't tell us what the hell was coming, and you didn't get any bitching about "PA-tards" effing up the forums.

So, good call.
