I do believe that James has single-handedly (single-headedly?) saved us from the recent plummet in hatistics. Let's go to the charts!

My reaction to Vuvuzela News:
"Oh crap... oh crap... oh crap... OH GOD MY EARS!!! AHHHH!"

Also, I need to find out what's on that single frame of Alex after the croquet comment.

Ah, the vuvuzela. I suppose I'll have to take a break from LRR videos now until my eardrums heal. I did find it interesting that you threw this random frame in there. Was that intentional?

Quick notes: Yes, hilarious. Vuvuzela news had me in stitches. Finally, some James! And lastly, Hatistics soon. I'm (for real) running late for work, so it'll need to be later.

Ah... so that's what the french women are up for.

Also, I just realized that the Paul and Matt jingle, if spoken with a really odd accent, becomes "Pool and Moot have to figure oot what Groom is talkin' aboot." Which I, of course, find hilarious.

Actually laughed out loud at Vuvuzela News, which is rare for me. People were looking at me like I was plotting to kill the Batman.

I realize the Hatistics are going to be warped this week because James wore a hat the whole time.
AND I DON'T CARE! MUAHAHAHA!

Also, that frame of Alex was intentional, at his request.

Vuvuzela News had me in stitches. Glad to see you found a use for them after Ways to use a Vuvuzela.

Also, I petition to have James fined for singlehandedly throwing off the hatistics for this week.

I liked that in the 2012 apocalypse, the air quotes went around 2012 instead of apocalypse. I laughed out loud at that. I have no idea why.

Well on a long enough timeline, there will be an apocalypse (even if it's just the Sun expanding into a red giant, and the Earth's orbit doesn't swing out far enough to avoid destruction). So 2012 is the really questionable part.

Thank you, DarkMorford. And to the rest of you, we have chill, dire news. A new force has emerged as a player upon the market, and we can only now see that last week's dramatic turns were merely a precursor to this week's horrifying news.

This used to be simple. There were four forces that impacted the market: The Paul, the Matt, the Kathleen and the Alex. And these forces were all dependable, despite some early wobbling in the Kathleen and the ever present hat danger in the Alex. But now! Now there is a new force, the James. And I hate the James. He's a horrible, corruptive force upon the market, and while he had been theorised in Phailhäus model simulations, it's only now that we've seen him truly devastate this economy. Let's start by looking at the... no, I can't. I can't. I can't do it and I won't!

I'm sorry. I ... I won't cry. Much.

Let's look at the Haturation count first this week. I can't look at the count by count.

Image

As we can see, hats are back up after last week's record lows. (I miss last week.) It seems that Alex's breaking of the Alex Must Wear a Freaking Hat Act of 2010 has created a market vacuum, thus allowing the fu-- sorry, the James force to emerge. His presence saw hat the hat index soar to 30%.

I am human and I do need to be loved. You are so right, Steven.

Let's look at the count by count. JUST DO IT.

Image

As we can see, the hat surged upwards, and the no-headwear was slightly up. The conditions have once again pointed toward the Hatless-Hat-Prescription Eyewear Singularity, and the Church of HatlessHatSpectacles are now saying that they were right all along about the HatlessHatSpectaclesocalypse, they just called it a bit early. Whether they're right we don't know, but what we do know is that Family Radio v. Church of HatlessHatSpectacles 2011 is going to be the most entertaining copyright infringement case of the year.

You can do this Jack. Just one more bit.

Finally, after a high two weeks ago, 'other eyewear' is down to near zero levels yet again, while prescription eyewear plummeted from 91% down to 42%. This means that those of us... I mean, those of them... I mean people who had all their investments in prescription eyewear just lost half their savings. DAMN YOU THE JAMES FORCE. DAMN YOU TO HELL.

IF I'D SOLD LAST WEEK I'DA BEEN A MILLIONAIRE.

But I was drunk and passed out on the couch.

I have a problem.

Maybe when the world finally does suffer an apocalyptic cataclysm, it will be 2012 in that future civilisation's calendar.

It could happen.

If #2 is correct, then judging from those hatistics, it's time.

I approve of everything that happened in this episode. Cutting of the Paul and Matt jingle was really funny and everyone else has said my feelings on Vuvuzela News

Also, just to add one last comment on the hatistics: what I love is that James wore a hat the whole time and yet episode 3 still had a higher haturation.

And the vuvuzela was funny, but I almost turned off the volume because of it -- not because it was bothering me, but because I worried it was bothering other people in my house. Actually, in general, I just really enjoy James's style.

You saying this just brings to mind the thought that it could have possibly been unintentional...

I guessed "somewhere in/near Indonesia" for the place that would survive 2012... being directly opposite the Mayans on the globe, seems like the most reasonable place to hide. But I guess that would have been too logical.
... For a certain definition of "logical".

Also: Loved the subliminal Alex fist. I'm pretty sure that's not how you're supposed to play croquet, though.

I came to see the hidden frame, as I could not stop the video precisely enough. But while I'm here, I might as well say things like "Ha! Vuvuzela news" and "Loved the cutting out on the Paul and Matt jingle" and "A disapointing lack of stories from New Zealand" and "A tour de force, rivalled only by Citizen Kane itself, 5 starts".

I saw the image flash by when I watched it first, but didn't have time to get a good look at it till now. And although I know it was put in there intentionally, it makes me wonder what Alex was doing to make that frame in the first place.

But overall still hilarious as always
