In spite of all the issues you guys had with the controls and interface I still might want to try this game, guess I'm just a glutton for pain. Still this does seem like the kind of thing you guys should do on a regular basis. It really still has an UnSkippable feel to it, but also unlike some other lets plays has good comedic value of your stumbles and notes on the game play. So it's like a Unskippable and zero punctuation for the first part of the game rolled into one.

A.K.A. Awesome in it's purest form

I had the same reaction with the armour... given the bare-midriff style of the starting clothes, I was expecting the "alterations" by the smith to involve removing large amounts of the armour. Then she puts it on and it's surprisingly well-covering. And then the camera goes back behind her and you see the complete lack of a back half for the outfit...

As always I love the Let's Play, looking forward to if you do more. I'm trying to think of another frustrating game like this, I'll get back to you if I remember one.

Loved it and would love to see more. =) Thanks for doing it! I'd agree that JRPGs are fairly high on the cheese factor necessary, and would suggest Enchanted Arms if it's not too mainstream... (in Japanese, cause the dubbing's HORRIBLE!)

That is precisely why they should do the dubbed version.

If we're looking for frustrating games you could do Nier, though maybe replace frustrating with Boring and makes no sense.

Oh fuck. Nier.

We did a "Live Unskippable" once at an anime convention, that was called "Let's Play with Graham & Paul" and we did Nier. It was godawful, and we have no pressing desire to return to said game.

Maybe some day.

Obviously a good suggestion though!

Guys, I have found the ONE WEAPON that will break the game completely.

I do believe that you're qualified to handle it.

Yeah you pretty much summed up my entire feelings on it there, I gave it 4 hours of my life and the only enjoyment I got from it was the fact that the main character can somehow double jump by clenching his abs and thrusting his chest in the air. We had a good laugh at that one, but overall no thank you

I suspected that nier was bad since yahtzee really went to town on it ( more so than normal for yahtzee) and usually he only does that with terrible games, most he has redeeming factors to talk about or stuff that's meh but with improvement will work.

Maybe one of the Metal Gear Solids? You could make a game of it!

(1) Keep track of the time spent in game play versus the time spent in cut scenes. Make a bet before you play for the over/under!
(2) Keep track of how many bad guys are killed in scenes that you could easily have played, versus those you actually kill.

On second thought, it may also turn out to just be a 2 hour unskippable.

Well that was a fun Friday afternoon. I'd love to see more of this and I, like everyone else here have some suggestions. If you want something that more than one person can get in on I would go with Magicka otherwise I would go with Record of Agerast War (make sure you get the special edition for all the goodies).

You won't even have to play it as it has an autoplay function

That was awesome. For some weird reason I love hearing Paul curse. It's like hearing a bunny curse. I stayed up until 3am to watch the whole thing because I enjoyed it so much. I hope you guys do more of these. And BTW, I think you have created the ultimate weapon idea with tying a hammer to a spear. So deadly and with such a long reach. There is an untapped DIY/murder market there, I just know it.

You guys should do a Silent Hill game. Or perhaps Fatal Frame.

How about a Two Worlds Let's Play? The voice acting is so delightfully hammy!

ALL of the game's cutscenes deserve a riffing, not just the opening 10 minutes.

I just saw on the LRR twitter feed that SA gave you shit about this not being a "real" Let's Play. Well, they can go eat a bowl of dicks, because I listened and loved this. It's great to just let it play in the background and listen to you guys quip about silly things.

Maybe it's not a Let's Play, but honestly? Why would someone want a video walkthrough of this game? It's so terrible. Without you guys cracking wise, such a video would probably be lethal.

i don't see how it can't be a lets play - you're playing a game, commenting on it and recording what's going on. this seems to fulfil the obligations of a let's play to me.

It's semantics (probably using that word wrong).

"Let's Play" breaks down to "Let Us Play", thus the LP should make the viewer feel like one of the players instead of just a passive observer. Granted, that's harder with a video game than it is with something like a movie or book, but yeah. Generally, LPs get pretty in depth about the game and would actually play the whole damn thing. G&P specifically stated they didn't want to do all that. This is more along the lines of "riffing".

I'm just providing a possible reasoning for how GPLP isn't a "legitimate" Let's Play, but that's not gonna stop me from watching it.

for the record the first Let's Play i ever saw was this so that's what i'm basing my understanding on.
