That's why I'm not posting there again.
I really did try to make concessions, but I've already said we are incompatible. And that's fine.

I hope you don't mind me suggesting, but... maybe you should inform them of your decision. Just a quick but polite post in the Dante's Inferno thread apologizing for not updating and thanking them for the feedback but that you don't think you fit on SA. Then maybe a small line saying you'll still be doing LPs and give a link to the X-Men one for anyone who's interested.

That's just my thoughts after reading the topic on SA and seeing there's some concern with how you left it hanging. Seems like it would be better to give a polite farewell than giving them the cold shoulder. Show to them that you're a bit more respectable than the YouTubers you're being compared to.

All this talk about making the SA forum happy and Graham's forum pic makes me think that, unless he doesn't get anyone to like him, he'll eat nonstop out of depression.

Steal my thunder why dontcha?

No, that's cool. I'm gonna give a lesser known mutant guide to Northstar anyway, so nyeh!

Northstar:
Name: Jean-Paul Beaubier
Nationality: French-Canadian
Affiliation: Alpha Flight, X-Men
Powers: Generate Light, Concussive Blasts, Superhuman Speed, Heightened Reflexes, Flight, Fast Healing, Increased Durability, G-Force Compensation
I have changed my name like 3 times on this forum. Guess who I am!

So you got a bunch off cool new attacks...and by the end of the episode the combat still felt repetitive :( I'm glad you guys are playing this instead of me, although maybe it's the type of thing that is more fun to play than to watch.

And you would think that the US government might have a problem with the purifiers flying helicopters around dispensing shock troops, and you know destroying San Francisco. Were is the army? Their are groups, like SHIELD, that are used to going up against mutants. I would think they could deal with some guys with nightsticks. And that doesn't even reach the question of how did a group get this large and have this much equipment without the government figuring it out? Unless they are working with the government, this is the government that thought sending giant war mechs to apprehend innocent US citizens and cause millions of dollars of property damage was a good idea.

I liked this episode and the ones previous I just think that they should be a bit longer, 15 minute chunks for a lets play seems kinda skimpy.

I just wanted to thank you guys for putting up these videos. You have saved me quite a bit of money, time, and pain (My hands ache when I play video games) and the commentary is very funny. Keep it up!

These videos have helped me to discover that I really, really enjoy watching other people play games, perhaps even more than I'd enjoy playing them myself. Especially if the people playing them make funny and insightful quips while playing. So these are a lot of fun for me!

Regarding the most recent update: Northstar is a pretty big deal when it comes to comic book characters, because of the fact that, as you mentioned, he was the first openly gay character in Marvel comics, and probably the first of such characters to not be written as a completely flagrant stereotype. Which is surprising, seeing as the X-Men are basically one giant allegory for LGBTs in the first place. :/ That said he's been treated pretty badly as a character, and his sexuality is often ignored, so... yeah.

Hooray? Anyway. The more I watch you two play the more I think it's actually kind of interesting that they let you essentially pick your own character and customize the powers they have, rather than making you just play as all the pre-existing Xmen. At first I thought it was a terrible idea, but the more I watch the gameplay, the more I think it's more immersive. Though it would have been nice to have a bit more control over the types of powers/appearance of the character....

I hate to rain on your pride parage there, Ditto, but the X-Men started as an allegory of just, any civil rights, most notably race relations.
Granted, LGBT is a big part of ongoing civil rights, but it's not all about it.

HI!

Was I the only one who was bothered by the courier being green in game then just a dude in the cuts?

Also there seems to be a different problem with fedex in the states.

IIRC Bryan Singer's interpretation was that the X-Men were like the civil rights for black people, with Professor X as Martin Luther King and Magneto as Malcolm X.

I suspect I'm in the same boat as TIMESWORDSMAN and various others... The video told me to come say hi. So, hi. I've been watching LRR stuff, starting with Unskippable, for about a year or so now, if you're curious.

I really enjoy the GPLPs, guys, it reminds me of playing games with my brother. I don't get time to do that anymore, we're both way too busy generally, so it's nice to have these. Thanks.

Damn my need to compulsively follow random commands given to me in web videos...

Indeed, posting because it said to say 'hi', and I also wanted to thank you unendingly for playing as who I refer to as "Chunkhead Chad" with the melee-based powers.

I had (and still have, otherwise I wouldn't be watching the GPLP) some interest in the game which brought me to seeing people's videos on YouTube; the characters picked were either the Asian girl or Chad Backpack, with either shadow or electricity powers (mainly shadow) - which is unerringly boring and irritating.
