I kinda want that elk they saw to be a moose, with a van "just like ours" crunched up next to it.

(Watch last week's Feed Dump, the one for July 31st, if you don't get the reference.)

Well, my browser just swallowed my previous post, so I'll bullet point it:

*What kind of land is Canada? Yay, fun! Also: Pretty scenery. Nice work.

*Crapshots: The Next Generation: Alex and Graham's game in the backseat was a lost episode of Crapshots. You should upload just this scene with the Crapshots intro. Great fun!

*Commodore Nights? Friday Hustle? Lots of non-MTG elements from the crew this week: Graham's truck stop fashion quest, Kathleen and her cats, the "Aw, Muffin" catchphrase, and the first time the words "Loading Ready Run" has been spoken in an episode of Friday Nights (location text doesn't count), thus proving these people have lives outside of Magic. This is a good thing.

*Paul's Theme: Loved the fact the same music was playing while Paul built his deck that was playing when Paul was deck testing back in Episode 2 - Constructed. Is this melody called "Paul's Theme"? If not, it should be!

* :!: :!: Police! Character Canon Police! :!: :!: I loved the round table discussion about what decks everyone was going to play at the GP...BUT...Jer says he is going to netdeck Jud-Mid-Range because that's the deck that's been winning. Excuse me, but ALEX is Detective Netdeck and Jer is Captain Combo. What, are we supposed to believe that Jer suddenly is netdecking the winning decks instead of putting together highly unstable combo decks? Highly dubious.

Final Thoughts: At first it seemed as though we'd get no new Friday Nights at all! But then we not only get our awesome episode, but are told a bonus one is coming next week? Why, I'm as happy as a man who thought a cat had done its business on his pie, but it turned out to be an extra big blackberry!

I have now spent four days setting up AI vs AI M14 drafts to find the best cards in M14 and a day running the games (last I checked: 1400 tournaments, 16800 matches or 40841 games). After watching the video I have some ideas how to make a statistically perfect constructed deck. Also I think the plastic on my laptop is melting.

One thing I love about this series is, slightly oddly, the YouTube comments section. The sharp divide between LRR fans who keep making subtle in-jokes and normal MTG fans is worryingly good fun.

I'm just not sure if Field is really the place to produce all 5 types of mana.

By stream do you mean the LRRcast podcast? If so, I guess I zoned out for a minute when I listened to it. Either way, thanks.

No I mean the Magic stream they do every week on Twitch.

They draft the current set and try to do something funny. This week was Dismiss Into Dream + Zephyr Charge combo, and it was pretty entertaining.
It can be found here.

This was the last stream.

By the way, they usually start streaming around 4:30 pm Pacific time on Thursdays. LRRMtG tweets when they go live.

Two words

SCENERY

PORN

My god some of those shots were gorgeous, I loved Alex and Kathleen's arguments about the lands. Oh and Paul getting left behind :)

Still one of my recent favorites. I love the magic lands discussions... along with everything else.

Was watching some old episodes, and had the urge to make some cards using shots from this episode. Pretty straightforward ones, but still worth sharing imo.

I put my name in the designer slot for this one, cuz I took a bit of liberty, since Alex and Kathleen never did decide what it was or what it did.

"Canada" needs to be a gold land.
