I've been wondering this for a while now but, where did the EA "Act With Integrity" mug go? I feel like it could see a comeback or maybe a re-release.

Well, for "Wait, what?" game news there's this: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =287164593

Super 3D Noah's Ark, a game built using the Wolfenstein 3D engine to be a "Christian" alternative to the violent Nazi-killer is now on Steam Greenlight.

Oh, Wisdom Tree...

I don't know about Super 3D Noah's Ark in particular, but I had Spiritual Warfare as a kid (I made some choices I'm not proud of), and it was... pretty dull, and cheesy, but serviceable. You could play it, very few game-breaking bugs. It's certainly no Prayer Warriors.

the Extreme Exorcism story made me think of this video: (of the same name): http://youtu.be/Uzaec2eNxvc
there's a longer version also available that does a pretty decent low budget homage to the Exorcist.
Warning, it a bit loud.

When you're doing solo checkpoints, couldn't you flip/mirror the image so that you appear on either side of the screen?

Wouldn't that be easier than intense leg-day?

Watching the Checkpoint aftershow is really interesting this week, as the stream is all there mostly without issues (except for a brief spat where xsplit got confused), so the video was obviously getting to Twitch OK (since it's Twitch's archive that's intact)... but the chat is full of hand-wringing about the stream being down and everything being ruined forever...

The YouTube uploads are from local recordings in XSplit, no guarantee it made it to Twitch at all.

Sometimes Twitch's broadcast gets screwed up or cut out, but it's still receiving and recording the incoming video stream.

I'm trying to replicate our favorite hell-hole of Snorsh. I got the flag, motto, and national animal down. Via decisions, I'll turn the place into the terror we know and love. Does anyone happen to remember if Snorsh has an official currency, capital city, or religion? Also, just to verify the demonyms...

Noun: Snorshian
Plural: Snorshians
Adjective: Snorsh

Only five more posts in a row until I get a free doughnut! :P

A AAA game developer has released a short game highlighting just how difficult it is to make a AAA title. It's not really a "think you could do better?" and more a "this is what we have to deal with all the time".

On that note I strongly recommend Double Fines's DFA documentary, now public

On another note, I'm still a bit floored by this past monday's sausage making exposition, i.e. how K&G created the intro in a few minutes.

I have an issue I'd love to see discussed on Checkpoint plus. It's in regards to having only 5.7GB of data on the physical copy of Fallout 4 I bought, I understand it was for "security", but a 20GB download?

Here is my original Steam Forum post, you can find the full thread here http://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/di ... 883789950/

"Not Impressed with the Physical Copy

5.7gb? Seriously? so, what am I supposed to do? I have crap internet and it's going to take me 8 hours to download. Thanks for ruining my night off.

I Specifically buy physical copies to avoid the large download, because Steam is sloooow. My internet is fine (for Australia), Origin is a beast (and yes, it really is, I've monitored the network traffic, the speeds Origin tells me are exact), even GoG often hits 900kbps. Steam, is crap for me, I'm sure it's not for everyone, but it is for me.

This is just shows how little Steam and Bethesda think of PC players, make us pay just as much, or a little more, for a disc with less than a quarter of the game!

What's the point of a physical copy then! It's useless and wasteful!
If I had known the disc wouldn't have the whole game, I would have bought the digital copy and set the download overnight, I don't need another box on my shelf, I don't need the box, I don't just want the download code, I wanted the game.

I bought a specific product from you, a product you offered me, a product that fills a very specific need within the gaming community, a disc, to install a game. I payed you for this service, because it's a service I need.

You failed to deliver that product, though I could not see you had failed until after I had redeemed my code, and started installing the game.

This is Misleading and Deceptive conduct, clearly in breach of consumer rights!

Not only is this an affront to consumers, it's an affront to nature. Just think how wasteful manufacturing and packaging these games, posting them around the world, stocking shelves with them, only for them to have all the real world practicality of a coaster. It's Busywork, it's just moving money around to keep the economy going I guess? What's the point? Why not do a full digital release? Is it to keep the “brick and mortar” stores open? Well, they no longer have a product I want or need, because I can use other services.

This is thoughtless waste and consumerism, and it's a growing trend,
Wolfenstein was the same, and Metal Gear Solid V, the fact these businesses are doing this whether or not we buy their products is unacceptable, it is wasteful and misleading, it is creating manufacturing and production for the sake of nothing. Make more stuff! buy more stuff!

Well your stuff, is no longer something I want, and your business practice, is not a business practice I want to support."

I was qucikly "lambasted" by people who basically said "I have no problem, stop hating!"

I responded and explained my stance, some of those people found out they had misunderstood me, and changed their stance"

There were still many trolls, but I just stopped engaging them and just spoke to the people who were contributing.

My post was quickly locked, and in such an active forum, by the time I checked what page it was on, it had already fallen to page 6.

I, and the people I was talking to about this issue were being censored.

Now this is just bad moderation at work, so I reported the Mod, and should have just waited.

Didn't want to wait, so I trolled the forum and got banned, complete admission of guilt, I was in the wrong, because I felt I had been wronged by the Forum Mods.

I can provide screenshots of conversations with moderators, along with a rant video I haven't uploaded yet. I'm working on writing a letter to Consumer Affairs and I want it known that this behavior hurts me and others in my situation.

There is nothing on the box of the PC copy that states it requires a 20GB download, a clear breach of Australian Consumer Law.

Please help me tell the world that this is unacceptable business conduct.
