Re: Checkpoint+
plus side; the only way Paul & Graham would go up against each other is in THE TITLE MATCH, after eliminating everyone else!

Re: Checkpoint+
Graham might have the upper hand. He already has a wrestling name and a move set. The "Stark Contrast" and "The Graham Cracker" are just a few.

Clearly we need to come up with some for Paul. How about:
Bionic Trousers Elbow
Ballsmatron
The Paul-veriser

Re: Checkpoint+
I don't know "The Stark Contrast" and "Graham Cracker" work so well cause they play off the name. The only thing I can think of for Paul is "Colonel Saunders" and what kind of wrestling name is that? What is he going to do fry chicken as a move? Im bad at this.

I'm right there with you with the "My hair is always better the day AFTER I wash it" idea, Kathleen. I have been told, but haven't really looked much further into it, that the washing probably takes away too much oil at first, then it slowly filters back into the air from the scalp and it looks great, then it keeps going and gets all nasty again. Plotting my showers in advance of when I need my hair to be awesome is now totally a thing for me.

Re: Checkpoint+
Re the "2.5D" discussion, I've heard the term used for both contexts - a 2D game world rendered with 3D graphics, and a 3D game world rendered with 2D graphics.
For an example of the first kind, things like the New Super Mario Bros series, where all the actual game play is a 2D sidescrolling platformer, but the graphics are 3D objects. On the other hand, consider a game like Super Mario RPG, which had an actual 3D world, but the whole thing displayed by flat sprites and an isometric view... which was quite a popular technique at the time.
Games like Doom/Duke3D, which use a mix of real 3D graphics and sprite tricks to show their world, I've occasionally heard called 2.75D, but not often, and mostly tongue-in-cheek... At the time, these games were just called 3D, and it's only in comparison to later games that used 3D models for everything that their status was retroactively downgraded.
Ultimately, the easiest way to tell someone means when they say "2.5D" is how old the thing is... If it's from the early 90s, they probably meant the way of showing a 3D world on their tech that could only display 2D sprites, but if it's from the 2000s, they probably meant the thing where you make retro gameplay but with a modern graphic treatment.

Is there no Checkpoint today? It's not on the calendar.
I'm not insane. I just have an overly vivid imagination!

Re: Checkpoint+
No Checkpoint or GPLP today as they are out of town.
Re: Checkpoint+
Well there goes my evening. If I have to go outside and get mauled by a bear, I'm blaming LRR.
Re: Checkpoint+
No Checkpoint or GPLP? Damn.
Well, I guess I'll just put on my bear costume and go maul people.

Yeah, the Onion was pretty humble in its earlier days; amazing what sub-par material you could get away with before the internet became so ubiquitous...

I think someone with time on their hands should go through the twitch chat from yesterday and put all the snorsh facts that were established in one, easily reference place. there was some pretty deep world building going in there!
Also, I really hope LRR grabs snorsh with both hands.

Snorsh was not a break-away region from the Soviet Union. Snorsh was a region quietly encouraged to leave.

Re: Checkpoint+
Well, Kathleen's 'red-orange' top looked GREAT today - maybe it interacted well with the greenscreening?
I feel a little bad about forgetting about this week's CP+, and tuning in JUST as y'all were clewing up, but then, with this head cold, I likely wouldn't have been much use in the chat.
Welp, since Kathleen "doesn't believe in the power of friendship" I present this to her.
AAAAAND the G&P Beatbox was improvisationally awesome!
