If you need some older games for your GPLP then Enter The Matrix is pretty short, and I know you have a gamecube hooked up already. Also, it is hilarious.

Another show I watch (Game Informer's Replay) did a very short segment on Sentient a PS1 game, and it looked interesting, and potentially like something you guys could do at least a session of.

Oh, and possibly Lolipop Chainsaw. I actually tried playing that one (I think my brother had it?) and well, it deserves mockery. Much mockery.

InFamous might be a good choice, but it is pretty long and has a difficulty brick wall during one of the story missions (or I found it too), but you guys could have a lot of fun with the ridiculously inconsistent characterization of the main character. (I'm just a good guy, doing the best I can. [5 minutes pass] I HATE THE GOVERNMENT, BURN THE WORLD [5 minutes pass] Sure, I'll help the FBI and police out, why not?)

Watching things out of order has its benefits too. In Beyond Two Souls we got to watch the birth of the "EVERYTHING IS FINE!" sketch for example.

I'm pretty sure that started with Cam initially.

Kojima has stated that he won't accept any developer besides Platinum if they make a sequel to Revengence. I can't really blame him, Platinum are still the best at over-the-top action.

Between this and Nintendo's interest in Platinum (Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2), we should be seeing plenty of good games from them in the future. Capcom may have fired them years ago (as Clover), but it seems like Capcom could use a refresher course on how to make good games.

FYI: we have changed the official broadcast time for GPLP to 3:30pm. This doesn't actually affect anything because we were generally starting 1/2 hour late so Graham and I could have lunch and switch over from the checkpoint+ setup, we just decided to make it official on the calendar :)

Just as a reminder... Someone needs to calculate how tall that building is.

Sky Scrapers are typically 5-5.3 meters per floor. You will need to count which floor the elevator takes you to. how many floors you run up when running away from enemies, How many floors you run up the outside of the building, and how many levels they pass in the elevator.

Figured I'd share this in the forums. It's sized the same as actual DS cover art, so be warned.

I didn't have time to font-match the Metal Gear Solid logo, but I did make sure to add miniature sombreros to the gameplay previews :)

So, as a current resident of Denver, I feel I'm entitled to point out a couple things about MGS Denver:

The highway signage is actually right for I-25 headed south into Downtown, so that's cool.

However, we definitely don't have even the remnants of an underground train system. Even if we did, it would be nowhere near downtown.

But one out of two ain't bad, as far as video game representations of major cities go.

EDIT: And then they go and reference Taste of Denver. They actually appear to have done research.

Any game for which two of its five listed selling points are 'has several different enemies' and 'has several different environments' kinda tells its own story.

DAMN.

So, I suggest OverBlood ages ago. Today I see it is time for GPLP, and I'm on vacation today, so I can actually watch for once. However, I'm in the middle of a game myself, so I decide to give it a pass as I'm not really in the mood.

Then later this evening I discover they are playing OVERBLOOD. Damn.

So, Game Informer did their first Super Replay of Overblood, which was quite amusing and has set up a tradition of them playing a horrible adventure game at the start of every year. Graham and Paul are much funnier then they are, though I must say, I'm disappointed that they have missed most of the stuff that screwed up the GI staff: They got out of the first room without freezing to death, they didn't walk through half the first area before finding the tape recorder....

Though I am very, very happy you (they) got crushed by the statue, even AFTER being told how to do it, which I was worried about. I was all "DAMN, why would you give that away!" Oh, yay, they still got it wrong. I thought it was easier to do when you were behind the statue though...

There was a comment on the game that Overblood 2 is worse. That isn't entirely true; No tank controls, objects shine so you don't have to walk around clicking everything, etc. On the other hand, there is a game breaking bug at one point that you encounter seemingly randomly. Game Informer got past it just fine, a lot of other people have lost their game to it.

Oh and they moved genres from 'Cheesy horror' to 'Final Fantasy' with giant flying fortresses, Junkblade racing, evil corporations, etc.

All in all, you should import a copy and play it.

Also Cyberia, though that is unwinable without a PS1 mouse (or play it on the PC). Cyberia 2. Blue Stinger, Illbleed....pretty much their whole back catalog would be funnier if you guys did it.
