Might have something to do with not having school like he did in the early months.

It's summer break - he's probably rushing in as much as he can before he gets hauled back to the labs soon...

Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
Although I wasn't watching live yesterday, I feel I ought to apologise on behalf of the chat for how pissed off chat made Cam yesterday.

Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
Just more of chat's general silly questions, combined with the RNG conspiring against the stream on a few occasions, plus a couple of misclicks... Cam got a little unhappy by the end, it seemed.

The first half of the stream that I saw seemed to be going fine (RNG aside). I love Chemistry Time with Cameron and Lars.

I think his mood colored the way he perceived the chat. Which in turn didn't help his mood.

Yeah, sort of a feedback loop...it's happened in the past once or twice...

What the fuck?
On an unrelated note, I accidentally sent my XCam entry more than once. Can someone remove row 334?
There was a computer stats image here. It's gone now. Thx, WhatPulse.
Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
What happened on Cam's stream on Wednesday to get some of the audio muted?

Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
He played some (unlicensed) music to inspire him...sadly, it worked - he seems to need 'the right song at the right time'.
So as much as it tends to cripple twitch's VOD (until the crew gets their copy uploaded to YT), it might be better for the stream to give the streamer what he needs...

As much as I want Cam to be happy, I want me to be happy more, his stream is my favorite and I can never catch it live

Specifically, he played "Weapon of Choice"

Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
Well, that was the FIRST song (and thus the first 1/2hr chunk to get muted...) but yeah. After that it was "Oh well, in for a penny? In for a pound." :/
Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
So at the start of the beyond earth stream Cam mentioned the Civ5 stream that he won the science victory with...which i remember watch part of but never finishing.
But thanks to twitch's new policy on archived I cannot go back and watch it on twitch, but because it was one of the 12 hour streams it means it hasn't made it onto the loadingreadylive channel.
Bit of a bummer, from the way Cam described it there was a pretty good ending to that map.

Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
I remember someone in the chat linking to a picture of the win
There must always be a Stark in the Moonbase
Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
Just a random thought that came up at the end of the stream tonight. Has Cam had a chance to play Valkyria Chronicles before? If not, it's getting a Steam release next week. Might be a good fit, since he seems to like the XCom.
Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
I think Cam should try that one, maybe not on-stream, to see if it's his kind of deal. The over-the-shoulder piece makes it not like a lot of SRPGs, though it is an otherwise fantastic game.
When the upkeep takes longer than the main phase, I know I've done my job well.
Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
Cam's reaction to SMBA was pretty much mine to Deus Ex: HR. So much hopes that the yesteryear's excellent but not-quite-empowered-enough-by-technology visions and gameplay would be launched to stratospheric heights of awesome by today's technology.
And then so much "...wait, wut have you done to the gameplay? no... why are you doing... NO that's not... sigh ..." disappointment. Better tech, worse results.
On a related note, Cam, thanks for getting me to buy SMAC just for the voiceovers (5.99 on GOG.com). Like I am even any good at these games. Maybe I can just extract all the voiceovers and listen to them instead of playing it

Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
I remember playing SMAC on release.
Buggy as hell, and a UI that took a month to learn. A patch being released that had corrupted files in it. Bugs that were only patched by the expansion. There are still game balance bugs in it that are only fixed by community maintained patches. Of course, we ignored all that, because it was still a really good game underneath.
And pretty much since then, every Firaxis game has been problematic until you installed the expansions / bought the DLC. So I'm not surprised that Civ:BE on release is not as good as our expectations.

Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
At least they allow modding. That is a big ol' ray of sunshiny hope. A new skin would do wonders. I too noticed how "samey" the colors all are.
Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
Dear Mr. Lauder,
Re your stream of Dark Souls on November 27th, I enjoyed it very much, up to the point where Bozocorp's plan to grope your game experience with their slimy software tentacles resulted in the destruction of said game experience for yourself and all of your viewers.
I would like to mention that you can create an offline profile and use that to play without the risk of disconnection. However, this also disables invasions and the multiplayer messages, and in addition would require a game restart (because Bozocorp). So I will understand if you don't wish to lose the progress you've made or the gameplay effects of those features.
Edit: saw the second stream, I guess you don't lose progress when you go to offline mode! sweet. They made me make a new profile to get that going, and that meant a new game.
Sincerely yours,
A sympathetic viewer

Re: A Swiftly Tilting Cameron
Wait, what?
I know I missed the first hour of the bonus stream, but it seemed like they recovered from the disconnect(?) just fine and carried on, fell prey to an annoyingly designed 'trap' that provoked a long backtrack and waste of limited time, but still managed to get up to the second boss that Cameron wanted to deal with...
...whom he then attritted into oblivion on his first attempt.
Asmuch as I agree with your sentiment against Bozocorp (and will wholly take your suggestion to heart when I get around to playing this game), I feel this is a bit of an overreaction...
