You mentioned you haven't played Amnesia. Maybe that'd be a good choice?

Just play more killing floor. That's scary right?

I think Slender: The Arrival would be hilarious to watch. :D

Sure haven't. I think maximum surprise is important for these titles.

I played fatal frame 2 recently and really love it, I'm actually playing 3 with friends but it's been some time since I played the first one.

This is maybe a little off topic, but if Kathleen is still up for playing some less jump-scary horror games with Graham, I think some of the older Silent Hill or Resident Evil games could work really well.

Voting off the ACTUAL choices, I want to say Obscure because looking at it, it looks like you can actually fight, which is nice when everything these days is just running and hiding. Haunting Ground could be good since it's a spinoff of Clock Tower, but I'm going with Obscure.

ObsCure's really not that great a game though it is leagues and bounds better than it's sequel which is one of the worst games I have ever played.

My vote is for Haunting Ground it could lead to some great moments I think.

I should probably emphasize that at this point we're looking for candidates rather than voting. If you've got a game you think might be good, slam it in here and we'll consider it.

I'd like to nominate myself for prom queen...

Wait, wrong type of voting. So... umm.. some other canidates might be:

-Lone Survivor (It seems like it's pretty creepy, with quite a bit of a 'mind fuck' story that adjusts as you play. Might make a good choice)
-The Swapper (others on this forum have played it. I checked out the trailer, and it looks eerie, if not 'scary')
-The Cat Lady (Supposed to be a creepy adventure game. The company's other game, Downfall, seems good too)
-The Void (I've heard it's creepy, and it looks creepy, so... suggested I guess)

Edit: As a small note, I've not played any of these games. I go 'full chicken' during horror-related things myself.

I haven't played it, and I don't know quite how entertaining it would be without at least cursory knowledge of the SCP Foundation universe, but I've heard good things about SCP Containment Breach

Of interesting note is that it mashes together a lot of the SCP universe's horrors, the primary antagonist is SCP-173,, but there are plenty more, ranging from safe to "destroy-all-life-as-we-know-it-for-shits-'n-giggles", like 106. Dunno if this would be too suitable for a "sit down and try it for a few hours until we win" one, though. Especially since it has multiple endings, with only two being even remotely good.

I've not played it but judging from the trailer "Slender - The Arrival" looks like it'd be pretty creeptastic.

How about Dark Fall: Lost Souls. I've playing that one for a few minutes but I'm actually terrified to go any further.

Obscure would probably be best suited for a GPLP, as it has 2 player coop and a pretty dumb story.

That is unless you want to torture poor Kathleen by making her play it with you.

Why is Star Control 2 not on the list?

I will second The Cat Lady. I've only played through the first chapter, but it mashed my NOPE button super hard.

Is Kathleen going to be in this one, if so some of those like amnesia may be a bit much for her.

As someone who HATES jump scares my knowledge of horror games is limited. But one I have played that has pretty good ratings all around is eternal darkness for the Game Cube.

Now Alex I know PC is your thing but from Beejs Backlog I know you guys have access to a GC in some way, so If you have Eternal Darkness available for it I would suggest that game. It's creepy without being startling. though it does "suffer" from having puzzles in it.

Though it is famous for what it's sanity gauge does to game play. For example at high levels it starts to fuck with the player like pretending to turn off your TV. and one that freaked me out to no end that I wont spoil here.

That game has an ending? I couldn't get three rooms in without dieing.

It's a shame you've already played Fatal Frame 2, it's really the perfect game for this.

Eternal Darkness if you haven't already played it. SOMEONE needs to play it. It's such a fantastic game and will make for a...unique Let's Nope if you can find someone who doesn't know anything about it.
When the upkeep takes longer than the main phase, I know I've done my job well.

I may have had the endings spoiled for me, but yeah. Two of them involve you dying anyways, you have to either disable a nuke or contain a certain SCP to get the "good" endings.
