Aguirre Judging

The judges play the final game, Aguirre! Max likes the illustrations but finds problems with the design, Rodney appreciates the flow of the mechanics, and Sharky the Pen eats a Priest.

I now have a better understanding of what this game is, but I'm not seeing anything in Aguirre that would make me choose to play it instead of Waterdeep or Puerto Rico.

Regarding some of the constructive comments the judges have made, will the winning game actually get chance to apply some of them before the first printing, or is the only thing left to do is tweak the components until it can be made for the budget? I'd assume they must be allowed to modify some of the mechanics considering each of the games shown have been unfinished in some way, but then we had the case of Skip Trace where the judges criticised them for changing the rules after getting selected?

Whichever game wins, the designer will get a chance to work on it some more before it comes out.
