I went back and watched a couple of the older Jonny videos. And I realized there was a bit of semi-foreshadowing of this in Jonny Two. Mostly in the fact that the J-dawg and his boy Jenny used to be an item. Also one could say from the fact Jenny and Deezy were the ones helping with the mega keg stand. Huh.

DarkAbyssKeeper wrote:So, is Jonny 5 going to be the J-man on trial for double homicide? Because that could be hilarious.

But the J in J-Fresh ain't for Jail time. So he'd have to be acquitteded or somethin.

Also, we didn't find out what the J in J-Fresh doesn't stand for this time. So that means we have to make wild guess at what it could possibly mean. I'm going with Jackalope.

I was thinking that sounds awfully familiar. It's easy enough for an ex to be a platonic friend ("my boy Jenny") right up until he's faced with her being with someone else. Especially someone who is a friend of his.

Not only a good video, but a good arc for Jonny.

I can't wait to see where the fifth installment goes.

Will we learn that everything in the fourth video was a hallucination that Johnny experienced after drinking the bleach?

Or will episode five reveal that Jonny is already dead, due to the aforementioned bleach drinking, and that the alleyway from the fourth video is his own personal hell?

Alright... Here's my list of continuity from what I can gather.

----

Jonny:

Jonny is somewhat drunk and hung over.
Jonny works out.
Deezy's phone blew up.
Jonny has guns.
Jonny's car is unavailable.
Jonny has ear damage.
Jonny blacks out after jumping off a roof.

Jonny Two:

Jonny is REALLY drunk and hung over.
Jonny owns the knock-off Morevette and ePhone.
Jonny likely crashed the car in the earlier video, which it was why it was in the shop.
Jenny and Jonny used to be an item.
Hoor Street is mentioned as the place for the HoorHouse party.
Skippy is a pimp.
Dave Richter invented the Richter Scale of Parties.
Jonny can't hear what the guys say, confirming his ear damage.
Jonny's likely developmentally challenged due to drinking as a child or pre-teen.
Deezy has been arrested and is in court for something.
Jonny blacks out after being lifted up for a keg-stand.
Jenny, Deezy, and Dave likely got arrested at the party.

Jonny Three:

Jonny is not drunk and is just tired.
Pauly is mentioned, along with Dave Richter again.
Jonny has given up drinking.
We can see how much of the weirdness is Jonny himself and how much is the drinking.
Jonny's last name is confirmed as Charleston.
Jonny owns the knock-off MicroVan.
The abandoned theme park is north of the HoorHouse.
Jenny's off of drinking apparently, as well.
Jonny and Jenny have some alone time at the park.
Jonny blacks out at the top of the coaster, confirming the fear of heights from the first two videos.

Jonny Four:

Jonny's drunk again.
Deezy does opiates.
Jonny still works out.
Jenny goes back to drinking.
Skippy hears about the problems between Jonny and Jenny.
Jonny has a fear of stairs, which fits with his fear of heights.
Jonny blacks out after going upstairs and seeing Jenny sleeping with Deezy.

----

Thoughts on where the final episode is going:

Jonny has guns and is friends with a drug dealer and a pimp, so something bad's going down.
All of Jonny's black-outs have had something to do with heights.
Three of the black-outs have been related to Jenny, and two to Deezy, so something's going on there.
Jenny could be getting back at Jonny for cheating on her in the first video.
Jonny is unreliable as a narrator, not only due to drunkenness, but also due to the ear damage, so it's likely that not everything he heard was what was said.
Pauly and Dave Richter seem like ancillary characters, currently. (From Loading Time, Dave is played by James. That leaves Ben, Andy, and Alex possibly with the three other guys: Pauly, Deezy, and Skippy. I suspect Andy is Skippy.)
Speculation: Jonny will remember or find out what happened during the black-outs.
Speculation: Jonny will mention his uncle somehow in the last video.

Fascinating breakdown! Nice work.
I'll say one thing though, not all the blackouts where supposed to be height related.

In my mind it was drunkenness, head rush/drunkenness, fear of heights, and—actually—anger.

That may not have come across in this one.

Thanks! Also, I did get that J4's black-out was due to anger, but the fact that he had just gone up the stairs, which he mentioned his distrust of moments earlier, just fit in with my idea about the heights. So I was thinking it was a contributing factor, though not the cause.

Just wondering if you can confirm which characters Ben, Andy, and Alex were playing, if it won't spoil Jonny Five.

I don't even know that James was playing THAT Dave.
None of the "background unconscious" are meant to be named characters from the monologues.

Ah... I saw the Loading Time first, saw James saying he was playing "Dave" and then Jonny Two came along and he's talking about "Dave Richter" and I assumed that was intentional. :) I guess it was my fault for making the "One Steve Limit" assumption.

I was guessing Alex was Deezy. He appeared less asleep, more dead.

Some sleep the sleep of the just, others sleep the sleep of having taking a fuckload of opiates.

sad ending man, but all is not lost. "Jonny 5 is alive" and gold plated by the end :P

...maybe combined the the sleep of covering a gut shot with a piece of cardboard?

(Seriously tho, is Alex really asleep - I notice he didn't even twitch during the outtake! :) )

This was very, very, very (...x10^c...), very good! Dark, as others have said, but that doesn't lessen the quality of the video or its subjective 'value'. In my opinion, the ending doesn't even mar the humour of everything that had led up to the the critical scene in Jonny's tale.

And it wasn't until reading this thread that I remembered what 'penultimate' means....ooooooooh! Image

Speculation: I thought it had been confirmed that Jonny Charleston here is the nephew of Story Guy...or wait...did someone suppose that, and was there merely guarded comments in reply to that? Curse my decrepit memory! Anyways, if the former, this sort of thing could make Jonny get back on the wagon even more firmly, and forsake his partying ways altogether and join his uncle's 'freelance troubleshooting firm'. :)

Also, I'm guessing the name of the forthcoming video in this series will be naught more than a (now highlighted with a spotlight) subtle reference to Short Circuit.

Whether Jonny DID anything...terminal during his last blackout remains to be seen - it COULD be that he remained conscious and sought revenge on his girl Jenny & his boy Dizzy (compounded by recently falling 'off the wagon'), and may have to take up his uncle's (or his future self's?) mantle to evade prosecution - hard to pursue and apprehend a murder suspect when he's an off-the-grid black ops operative...

...or it might just be another twist coming and while Jonny later realizes he FELT like doing things, and goes and speaks with his uncle...

:!: Or...well, something else that I'm gonna keep mum about...

Pretty sure Graham did confirm that in one of the other threads.

Edit: Yup, here we go. From page three of the comments on the first video:

Wait, so the blackout in this one wasn't from drinking bleach and dying?

Apparently I need to reevaluate my theories. If anyone asks for me, I'll be at A Bar drinking A Beer.

Has anyone seen Alex since this was filmed? If I recall both Paul and Graham said they would call James if they needed help "getting rid of a body."

I think this is one of the best Johnny episodes yet! What I found interesting is that Johnny didn't give a "The J in J-mam does not stand for (blank)" but that is understandable given the situation Johnny blacked out during.

Also the ending took me by surprise but it was very well done!

Unfortunately for Jonny, I think we now know something that the "J" in "J-man" does stand for... "jilted."

My favorite Jonny so far, for sure. Hilarious monologue with "The Bar" "The Laundromat (not a bar)" and such, the bracket/parenthesis line, and all he drink names, the favorite movie question, etc... all was great, and then you get hit by the ending.
