I could easily see this one becoming a series, with an overarching story of Dave trying to find and join them.

Re: Wizard Chat
Thank you. Thank you for making a video called Wizard Chat. We asked for it, and we got it. So good.

Re: Wizard Chat
I like that you've made a thing called Wizard Chat. But does anyone else think the concept would have worked better as a Rapidfire segment than as its own video?

Re: Wizard Chat
Well, maybe Wizard Chat can come back as a segment for RapidFire 4. As a video, it works alright.
Re: Wizard Chat
Great video and great costumes!
Also, I have to admit, Paul definitely had a bit of a Roy Wood vibe going on there!

I'd love to see it come back as a Rapidfire segment, but there was definitely enough material here for a full video. It was delightful. And the stinger was excellent.
I... actually really want to listen to Wizard Chat on the radio now. Hopefully lightning strikes a radio near me at some point.

Wizard Chat lives! This would be great as a Rapidfire sketch. I really think Kathleen should appear as a Wizard if this ever happens again. Complete with beard, because you know ... wizards.

Re: Wizard Chat
This was such an amazing video, I hope you guys are doing this weeks LT on this. I really hope you guys do another video I have to agree this would make a good series or segment for Rapidfire.
While watching I was overlaying the world of 'The Dresden Files' (being my main wizard source) which made the remark about "weaving the precise incantations..." very funny. Anyone who has read the books knows "precise" is not a word used often.

I may not be funny or witty, but that does not make me less strange.

This video probably made me laugh the most I have in weeks. I agree - this would make an awesome Rapidfire skit.
And I absolutely love the Photoshop Wizard poster behind Paul.

Re: Wizard Chat
One tiny thing I don't know if anybody noticed. At the end of the intro to the video the year at the bottom of the screen is 2012 - is that supposed to be that way or did you forget to change it?

Re: Wizard Chat
Love the Photoshop Wizard reference.
I must say that Paul's beard was perfect. It's always funny to see the likes of Graham's wizard beard, ie covering the mouth and rustles when he talks, but being able to see Paul's mouth made it look like a real beard . . . almost too real.

Re: Wizard Chat
It did indeed live up to it's name. Wizards have indeed chatted. But I have to disagree about one aspects. 24 inches seems a bit... small for a hat. I'd say you'd want to stick to around 30. It might get in the way, but it will send the clear message that you are a fashionable wizard to all those who see you.
Going to the video itself, Graham's beard looked a bit off. The hair looked good, but the bear felt like there was a distance between it and his face. Paul on the other hand looked perfect. The beard and the hair both look pretty natural.
Also, I liked the little callout posters. Beards Beards Beards, The Photoshop Wizard, and Touched By A Familiar all made me chuckle. I could see this working as a Rapidfire series as others have mentioned too. Overall a fun little episode that likely confused many people.

I met a wizard once! Look, proof!:
Little known fact: that wizard also happens to be the head of a NASA Research Center.
I am not joking.

Re: Wizard Chat
...Paul, bearded again...
Yeah, great video. Graham brings a commanding gravitas to his part, and Paul {swoon} really nails the radio-talk-show-host role.
The stinger was grin-worthy, and "Dave's continuing attempts to track down Wizard Chat" would be something I'd wanna watch...but then again, just a 'straight' continuation of WC would be worthy. Even a recurring segment in a Rapidfire series would be cool.
...crap, I'm finding I can't DECIDE which would be best.
Thanks again for a great video!
(and Paul, let the dihydrotestosterone have its way ;^) )

Re: Wizard Chat
Wow, I could have sworn that this video was written by Kathleen, given that, you know, it's called Wizard Chat.
I think my favourite line was "YOU SHALL NOT PASS us on the dial."
And I loved the references to Photoshop Wizard (who I believe James has ALSO encountered by accident), as well as "Beards! Beards! Beards!", even though the latter probably only makes sense to people who follow the podcast very closely.

Wikipedia - Dr Worden wrote:Dr. Worden also has a reputation as being something of a "character." ...He is also known occasionally to costume, usually dressing as either Darth Vader, a wizard, or after arriving at Ames, as a goat herder.
Seems legit.
So...much...awesome...in one...video...

Re: Wizard Chat
I didn't enjoy this one, except for the stinger. But that's actually a good thing; I like how much variety there is in the weekly LRR videos.
