I dunno if there's a word for intelligent, or discussion in /b/tard...

I don't really remember much from my /b/tard intro course on Rosetta Stone, but I think it goes something like:

OMG N00B U LIEK TITS? LOLZ

I think its cause as soon as somone talks about french we all have to join in (at least us Canadians), cause i am pretty sure everyone in Canada has an opion on Quebec (after all, french and Quebec are kinda tied togther!)

Also, since we heard on the podcast that Matt has a really good knowledge of Wookie, why didn't you use that as one of your languages? I would have died laughing if you used that. Probably because I can speak Wookie as well.

I would contend that the language of Wookies is probably not called 'Wookie'. Though I have no idea what it is actually called, it is likely hard to pronounce.

Because Matt was the enabling straight man?

Now, if anyone else could speak Wookie...

Chirriwook (sp)

By a total coincidence a friend was talking about the languages in Galaxies last night on Skype...

Kudos to Paul for his "Swedish Chef" impersonation! :D (Did that take a lot of practice?)

But who could have pulled it off like Matt could? I'm sure the others could pull off a jerk-ass if they wanted, but who could pull it off with the same single-minded purpose and tenacity of Matt? Who could properly convey that they knew exactly what they were doing, consciously choose to do it, and thoroughly enjoys the response. It's not as easy as Matt makes it look. I've known many jerk-asses in my life, none of them could pull it off with the same style and panache that Matt did, and that's what makes the sketch work.

Essentially, Matt's character has moved beyond the asshole. He is a classhole.

I must say, you do pull off the character of "complete asshat" with style, Matt.

*sigh* I started doing this word for word with the online dictionary because it's 5am and I'm bored and can't sleep. I don't have the constitution to finish it tho. I'm sure anyone who actually speaks swahilli would laugh at me upon reading this.

Really loved this one. I agree that Matt did a great job. Jamaican and Sean Connery were both equally joyous. Sorry if I am a little late but I can't pass up an opportunity to use my limited language skills.

Which is correct, except that it is Portuguese. It also uses "ser" rather than "estar", which was discussed earlier and is the same framework in the two languages. In more common (slang) speech, you could say "Tah serio?"

I choose to believe that Paul's native tongue is actually Swedish Chef, and he learned English through a regimen of listen-and-learn tape casettes and repeated shock therapy. Can you just imagine Swedish Chef baby talk? "A gaa goo GEE HINGY SPINGY SPORG!"

This makes me happy for some reason. It's like, he was so frustrated, he switched into Portuguese. Lol

I love this video so much; You have no idea how weirdly true to life it is. It's just like my saturday job... except my saturday job's in a Butchers... but if you subsituted speaking different languages for serving different types of meat, it would work... what was I saying? Oh yeah, the video made me laugh. A Lot.
