Warner Bros. has acquired rights to turn the Japanese manga series "Death Note" into a live-action film.

Studio has hired screenwriters Charley and Vlas Parlapanides to adapt.

and ZAC EFRON is rumored to be light
the only good that can come from this is they dont make L change the world and if he REALLY dies of a heart attack

the live action is good, NOT great but then again, its better than i thought it would be, the third is not the best but its better than many regular sequels. but still, who can we get to do this? nobody..

It wasn't as good as the anime but credit where credit's due, that actor that played L did a really good job. Well, the Japanese version of it. I don't think this one will be worth watching.

On my list of comic adaptations I'd say this'll turn out better than trying to adapt anything by Alan Moore but worse than the new scott pilgrim movie (EDGAR SHALL NOT FAIL US!!!). It's a fine idea, not a phenomenal one, but it'll be okay, I think. I need to see more concept art to decide.

and so, cybren, I'll say this: It's better than anything Dan Brown's written.

(although I do have to admit that I probably would have dropped out on death note sooner if the art wasn't great or if it wasn't so reasonably short for a manga).

Second of all, I think it would be great if the guy known for High School Musical came and did something completely and totally different; like a psychotic mass murderer with supernatural powers.
