Wait... save whales? I chose a bad time to contract scurvy.
I can help watch out for spammers on the wiki, but I don't have anything better to contribute to the rest than the fine work everyone else has been putting in

It felt like old times to be adding the week's videos to the wiki. I need to edit more often.

Transcript added for Free Speech Tattoos. I accidentally skipped Sausage Cozies, I'll do that one next.
Tattoos was really easy because there were so few hats. I could basically type at 1:1 speed, since I didn't have hat/prop annotations to add.

Re: Save a whale*! Edit the LRR Wiki! *(may not save whales)
Transcript for Sausage Cozies is up.
I realized that to faciliate search purposes, I should stick to the convention that when words are long and drawn out, I'll use three vowels instead of one.
For example, in Sausage Cozies, Graham says "I'm a ghooooooost." But since it'd be impossible to search for "ghost" that way, since you wouldn't know how many o's I added, I just make it 3: "ghooost" when the vowel is stretched out.

I already finished it, with the help of some other people and also Fayili and Graham.
Also it is 3:30 in the morning and I need to sleep now.

I am indeed, and indeed I don't. I'm much more active on the desert bus IRC, though.

You mysterious person you!
Thanks for the help! I think we made a good thing.
I might continue tweaking the definitions. We want to make sure it's accessible for people who have never watched Desert Bus before. This could be a good resource to link to newbies who want to learn about Desert Bus lore.

I know as a relative Desert Bus and LRR newbie (DB6 will mark one year since I first heard Desert Bus existed, and LRR by extension), I appreciate the glossary of DB terms, even if it means I had to track down the "Magic Pocket" clip.
I think more video clips would be helpful, especially for those who would like to see how the memes came about, unless they're going to be too difficult to track down.

That is a good idea. We were trying to track down a few of them last night. One that we were unable to find was Kathleen telling the story of the Father and the Daughter, the origin of "Work with daddy on this" and "Put your pants back on," where Graham does a lovely brogue.
If anyone can track down any of them, please go ahead an add them! I only quit because it was about 4 AM last night and I was falling asleep.

I finally found it! Roughly 1:50 onwards in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQmAclhFh3Y#t=111s
If someone could snip it out and reupload, that would be amazing. Otherwise just a time-link to that video should do. I'd do it myself but it's pretty late here.
Re: Save a whale*! Edit the LRR Wiki! *(may not save whales)
You can see I've been making some changes and fleshing things out. The point of that page (which, could we change to Desert Bus Lexicon or Glossary or something?) is for people that have NO IDEA what's going on. A lot of things in there right now use some short-hand, assuming that people already know what's up.

Re: Save a whale*! Edit the LRR Wiki! *(may not save whales)
I'd like to point out that the, "I AM an adult" came from one slashfic, not "various" ones. It sparked a rash of writing terrible slashfics in the chat after DB, but mine was ground zero.
Re: Save a whale*! Edit the LRR Wiki! *(may not save whales)
FWIW, the "I need an adult", "I AM an adult" back-and-forth is an exchange Kathleen and I had written well prior to DB and just couldn't work into the right video.

Thank you for this. Not only do you remember a lot more about stuff than I did, you have insider information that helps explain why a lot of this stuff happened.
It's also hard to remember to fully flesh out the short-hand, because it's become so ingrained into my head. You know, after nearly six years... :B

You guys are all awesome. Seriously. To have something on our Desert Bus meeting agenda that got dealt with without our getting involved was absolutely amazing, and we all breathed a sigh of gratefulness as we moved on to being frantic with the hundred and one other things still on the to-do lists. Pretty sure you guys also did a way better and more thorough job than we would have. Thank you all so much! It looks great. <3

We are here to help.

So, do we want to rename the page as Graham suggested? I like Desert Bus Lexicon more personally, but we could also set up redirects from Neologisms and Glossary.

Lexicon sounds good. Redirects also sound good.

I would also suggest "Tropes" as a redirect, if it is not already.

Done, done, and done.
Edited:
I've also added High Denglervision under DB6.
<Graham> Steve Dengler is sponsoring the gear to broadcast in HD
<Graham> wherein HD stands for High Denglervision
<Tyranic-Moron> do we need to add that to the Lexicon early Graham?
<Graham> Tyranic: may as well!

I think at this point, Steve Dengler deserves his own "Value Added"-esque appellation for all he's done for Desert Bus...
