He does, it's Steve "But wait, there's more!" Dengler :)

Come to think of it, that should also be in the Lexicon. Thanks!

You guys are all awesome. Seriously. To have something on our Desert Bus meeting agenda that got dealt with without our getting involved was absolutely amazing, and we all breathed a sigh of gratefulness as we moved on to being frantic with the hundred and one other things still on the to-do lists. Pretty sure you guys also did a way better and more thorough job than we would have. Thank you all so much! It looks great. <3

Super happy we could help take a little bit of load off. <3

Let us know if there's anything else in this vein we can help with. I know I'm thrilled to help however I can.

Was barrel rolls only a thing at DBFH2? That year it was a thing after Yamaro did one and put a hole in the wall.

Someone last night (was that you?) suggested Barrel Rolls last night, mentioning the "hole in the wall" incident, which I do remember, though I questioned whether that was really a meme. It never really got referenced again after DB2. I was trying to stick to things that actually became memes and really recurred and became part of Desert Bus, because the list of "funny things invented during DB" would be much, much longer.

I'm pretty sure everything on the list currently has been referenced every year or almost every year since it was invented. Obviously, as time goes by, some of the stuff for Desert Bus 4 and 5 would probably be OK to remove from the list, since it might stop being a "thing." Some, like Clubbing and Sweetening the pig, obviously will not stop being a thing.

If nothing else, it should be on the page for DB2.

I was happy I got to see the Barrel Roll live. AND the police searching for someone. That was interesting.

I may have been at the Moonbase when the police were there. I have to admit Desert Buses are a bit of a blur.

I... don't remember if you were, but Tim has a "true Story" video of it on the Ustream page. That was probably long after the fact.

I've been kind of anemic with edits lately. I need some big project, and the wherewithal to do it.

Desert Bus is upon us! EDIT LIKE CRAZY! Anything you think is important, ADD TO THE DB6 page! The DB5 page is fat with info because I encouraged people to edit it while it was going on!

Edit! Add! Multiply!

As a point of note, the first half of the preshow is now on youtube, with the rest to follow shortly. With a horrifically large degree of luck, this may be maintained throughout the run.

That's a small comfort. I hope I can at least watch the opening nite antics. The only way I could watch DB5 was via cell phone, & now something happened with Adobe Flash that I can't watch it on a mobile device anymore. :(

All the major parts of the preshow are now online. I'm not including all of the in-between bits, I'm trying to keep it to just a highlight reel. So I'm not going to upload every time Kathleen dances either, just when something unique and impressive happen (like when Kroze dances while people chant "Pony Glue" around him on the way to a milestone).

Also I feel like I'm clinging to a barrel in a sea of spam.

I think that would be fine, but when possible, post links to the official Desert Bus channel.

However, I personally will not be able to keep up the current upload rate. After my power went out for three hours, it took up until about 10 minutes ago to get caught up on everything. Perhaps it is time to actually do that caffeine IV...

Because the last week was completely normal and absolutely nothing happened, I've uploaded the transcript for Feed Dump: A Rifle is Forever.

I'm only two months behind, NBD.

Something I figure you guys may find useful, a read-only copy of the video strike team's event spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... Tc4cDFsS0E

We got down every last little thing that happened, with timestamps, event types, and youtube links (upload team hasn't completely finished but the majority of DB6 is already up, which is somewhat astonishing).

If any of my fellow strikers read this, you guys were all amazing <3

Thank you so much! I was going to suggest that people add things to the wiki as we go but things like this go above and beyond. I feel sad that we were not as proactive in previous years and the earlier desert buses are not as well documented. I have to admit I am partial responsible for this.

Youtube has started cooperating again, so the last of the videos I had highlighted are now up on Desert Bus's channel.

Thanks to Tyranic-Moron and the rest of the Desert Bus Survivor's chat, who were originally planning that document as an index for the eventual DB6 Torrent. When Graham contacted me about the Video Strike Team, they kicked the sheet into overdrive for us, and it made the entire thing possible. Without that spreadsheet, just keeping up to date would be hard enough, and dealing with the backlog from when we went to sleep would have been impossible.

I'm considering starting a page (working title: "Who Dat?" Shut up, I said it's a working title) devoted to the people who tend to show up on camera during Desert Bus. For example, Cori and Andre aren't in videos, but they are fixtures during the marathon. LeeLee and Takahata101 have their own things most of the year, but they are active participants over DB weekend.

The page would explain, briefly, who people are and how to identify them.

Example entry:

"Ian Horner
Ian is one of the creative minds behind Synaptic Chaos Theatre and the TopTech podcast. During Desert Bus he assists in Engineering and takes part in music and performance-based challenges, especially ones involving Beej.

He can be identified by his beard, glasses, snappy outfits and kazoo."

I feel as though once DBfH7 comes around, it would be nice to be able to respond "read this" whenever somebody gets confused.
Does anyone else think this is a page that ought to exist/that you would edit?

Sounds like a good idea to me, too. "Desert Bus Crew/Roster/Regulars" perhaps?
