Creepy Doll #1 World Tour
Re: Creepy Doll #1 World Tour
Given the things Creepy Doll knows how to do with a scythe, I don't actually think giving him a gun is any more frightening.

Re: Creepy Doll #1 World Tour
Yeah, but scything involves precision slicing, the careful, methodical (slow) removal of entrails, etc. It's practically an art. *Shudder*

Re: Creepy Doll #1 World Tour
So, I've been sitting on these pictures because, really, posting pictures that you've already uploaded to your computer and everything is so much effort, right? No. This will not stand. Let us begin:
Our story begins on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley. It was my friend's birthday, and when Alphie heard the two of us were planning on hanging out, he requested to come along.
My friend saw this bracelet and declared Alphie must have a crown. Alphie didn't seem to mind.
We were right outside of Amoeba Music.
Alphie requested better proof of location, and who were we to deny him?
"Look, ma! No legs!"
"But I don't need to run to catch you."
"Now this guy? This guy was good at escaping me. Much better than you'll ever be."
The next stop was a bit later, when I met up with Avistew in San Francisco. First stop? Chinatown!
"They made a shoe that fits me!"
"...What are you smiling at?"
"Brothers!"
Alphie demanded a photograph with the lady and her gentleman when he had lunch with us at midday.
Then we headed off on an adventure through the city.
Alphie liked the flying books, but couldn't figure out where the words had gone!
Where were they?
Then he looked down.
"What an idyllic setting. It would be a shame if anything were to happen to it..."
We stopped by Pier 39...
"Yes. We get it. You're there. You can shush now."
"Alcatraz? I remember that place. ...It was fun."
And the Musee Mecanique, which still houses some of the old things from Playland at the Beach.
"She's almost as creepy as I am. Creepier, when she laughs!"
"What an inspiring tale." Sniff.
"Lets be friends, you and me."
Alphie thought he should sign the guestbook before he left.
Finally, to show us how frail our mortal forms are, Alphie had us walk to the top of Lombard Street.
"What's this? The twistiest, steepest street in the world?"
"Let's get a better look..."
"Well, that doesn't look so ba- aaahhhh!"
But man. What a view.
"We were all the way up there..."
"...Wanna go again?"
There are more shots on my fb, but they're mostly poorer versions of the ones that made it in. Many thanks to Avistew for sharing this adventure with me (and being such an excellent wrist model), to you guys for being so patient with me, and to Psychopez for letting his little doll out into the world like this.

Fayil, the area you live in looks fantsticly fun. Do those Sea Lions just shill there in public, or is that a zoo type place?

Oh, that's Pier 39! The Sea Lions are kind of the main attraction of it, besides the Aquarium and a carousel. It sounds a lot more exciting than it is, but it is coolish. That's SF for you.

Re: Creepy Doll #1 World Tour
So, if you're in the UK (or going there this summer) and on this list, question for you.
Who is going to be near the Olympics this year? I'm up for detouring Alphie to the UK if anyone is going to be part of the festivities, but I'd need to know who and when.

Re: Creepy Doll #1 World Tour
No address yet, just FYI so I don't catch shit. Can't mail it if I don't have an address.. Also we begin hour tour, this is in order. I did it coming home from work into the park so this is what any other tourist sees.
Alphie is making friends already!
The entrance sign before the gate, standard tourist shot. climbing on or around it
I decide to take him to a less populated look out as we don't need to be scaring anybody, he finds the amphitheater entertaining. He did a beautiful single doll re-enactment of Romeo and Juliet
Goddamit alphie, you're not a monkey. WE DON'T HAVE THOSE HERE.... squirrel maybe
He wanted to know what it was like to be as old as dirt, so he went to the oldest level of rock in the canyon. He takes life seriously now, in addition to just taking life
Quick overview of why we couldn't go DIRECTLY to the edge, its 45degrees all the way down. I HAVE slipped on it and my brother caught me or I'd be dead
He enjoyed his stay on it rock. I was worried about him falling. don't worry, I'd have gone after him.
And before we left, he wanted to see the far sights with the telescope so I helped him out iwth that

Re: Creepy Doll #1 World Tour
Are there parts of the grand canyon you can look almost directly over the edge with rails? I have always been curious because of the way errosion works, I would be hesitant to go to the edge of any cliff, never mind the grand canyon!

Erosion doesn't happen THAT fast. It would be interesting to know how it affects the placement of handrails and such though.
