Is Alex an official crew member yet?

If he isn't why shouldn't he be? He's been in loads of videos recently, helped a ton at Desert Bus and is amazing in Crapshots. That, and he is just concentrated awesome in a can.

I believe that was implicitly addressed in CH. The one where Tim leaves and is "replaced" by Alex. There's also a mention of that phenomenon in one of the associated LRRcasts. Not to mention that in this week's LRRcast (Wing Nuts), a discussion of the number of "official" LRR videos is said to include CrapShots.

That sounds que officialmente to me.

On the other hand, Tim got an official ceremony. Alex needs one too, with blackjack and hookers.

I wouldn't trust his wily ways with blackjack.

Alex would only be interested in hookers if they were robo-hookers.

If Alex got a Drossel Hooker we wouldn't see him ever again.

I remind you Alex has been in and doing videos and handing out LRR Business Cards and signing them for longer than Tim has been around.

He doesn't really NEED an official knighting, just like Graham, Paul, Morgan, Kathleen, Jer, Bill, James and Matt never had one.

Even if Morgan and Bill have left the "official" part of the LRR crew.

At least they could update the About page, though.

Fair enough.

Weeeelllll... yeah, he's been around a long while, but for a bunch of that he was on the other side of the country. He always felt kinda apart from the main crew until just before Tim left.

Don't get me wrong, I think he is now, but it'll take untill... maybe June for the rest of them to think "Yeah, it's about time we thought of knighting him" just like it took them half a year or more to make it "official" with Tim.

He may have appeared apart from the rest of the crew from your point of view, but he did grow up with them, and remained part of the group despite his distance.

I meant that he was apart in terms of contributing to LRR not that he wasn't still a part of their lives. I guess I needed to phrase that part more specifically. :?

Just look at his Twitter! It's @Alex_LRR! Right there in the name.

But yes, you guys DO need to take a new About Us picture and update the About page...

(In reality, official "crew" things may have to do with contractual stuff at the Escapist, which is not really our business, so we shouldn't be too pressing on this. But at the very least I hope you guys took a new crew photo at the Child's Play charity dinner this year....)

We SHOULD update the about page.

...to reflect the fact that, yeah, he's totally full-fledged crew now.

What if they were robo-hookers held together with 3/4" wingnuts?

Sexy, yet easy to disassemble and upgrade.

Paul, too, would be pleased.

After a lifetime of hearing and using the term "full-fledged," I finally looked up the meaning of "fledge." I never knew it was an actual word with an ornithological meaning of its own.

Yes he is an official member of the crew WORKING for LRR now (as in paid). He told me a while ago. It was also illustrated in CH as Goat says.

I wish I was a LRR!

So do I... I can make things. :(

I know it was in cH but it wasn't sure how that part was meant. I don't really tend to chat to the crew (another thing that makes me sadface a little), so I wouldn't have that as a source of information. Image

Haha, I also got a mental image of Graham, sat like a mob boss behind a big desk and in a suit, going "You work for LRR now, got that?" to a terrified Alex. Image

Alex now turns into a bird-man.
