I wish to comment on the time travel comic.

The experiment referred to in the comic rules out only one scenario for time travel. There are still other possible but highly unlikely ways of making a time machine. The BBC article Kathleen linked to notes this; the Discovery article does not. The BBC article is the better of the two.

Although when we scientists say something is impossible we are usually right, we have been wrong far more often than we would like to admit.
