My photoshop skills aren't nearly up to scratch.
I reckon I could write a decent scathing review, though.

There could always be one of those reviews with lots of ellipses in.
e.g. There is absolutely nothing good to be said about this film. The acting, the directing, the script and even the much lauded special effects were so mind-numbingly terrible that by the end of the film I wanted to ram a knife down my throat just to end it all. If this is the best that Canada has to offer then I think Hollywood is safe for a while yet.
Goes to:
The acting, the directing, the script and... the special effects... This is the best that Canada has to offer.
Or something like that.

I think, since this would at least in part be a Canadian project, we should have some semi-washed-up Canadian TV actors working on it.
What about Brent Butt as Matt/Tim and Paul Gross as Jer? Dawson casting.
Gordon Pinsent as Ken "Value-Added" Steacy.
Peter Keleghan as James.
...OK, now I just want to re-form the cast of the Red Green Show.

On a Canadian theme, Michael Cera should play Matt/Tim.

I don't think you know what "C-grade" means.

If we're going C-grade, then someone NEEDS to be played by Reb Brown.

I think William Shatner should be in there somewhere. Ken or Dale seems like the best fit to me.

Well if we're talking about Canadian actors, Nathan Fillion, because he's Nathan Fillion.

I would reiterate a suggestion put up on the first page: definitely needs terrible terrible CGI Rosco. And I figure Gibb ought to be voiced by a really big name actor who totally phones it in.

Once more, with feeling: this is not supposed to be awesome. It is supposed to be awful.

Definitely Shatner playing Dale.

Exactly. As I said before, we don't put Nathan Fillion in it, but we make sure that THERE IS A PETITION to have Fillion cast as the lead. Of course this doesn't come off, and disappointed geeks (yes that's me) all hate the movie before it comes out.

I don't know, from the sounds of it, hating the movie pre-emptively sounds like a good decision. Saves time, you know.

Speaking of Canadian actors, how about Ellen Page? I know she's been in a lot of awesome movies (and some not-so-awesome ones) but we need something to raise expectations of the public and then leave them at the end feeling bitterly disappointed and betrayed.

Ellen Page as Tally? Have the one Canadian actor play the American?
We are all made of star dust. However we are also made of nuclear waste.

I feel that since Graham's Mum is English, this is the perfect chance to cast a well known Brit actress in a glorified cameo role, whose scenes will contribute nothing plot-wise but will be used constantly for the trailer. Judi Dench isn't very picky on roles or pay nower days.
Re: Let's get psyched: Desert Bus: The (frankly terrible) Movie
I think we should invite the cast of Glee along to do the soundtrack... or would that be too expensive?
Aww, hell. Let's blow the last £2.50 on them. CGI, film tape and actors don't cost much, right?

The cast of Glee? That's an... interesting idea.
Although now I have the idea of Matt leading an awesome musical number about Desert Bus (for no apparent reason).

Also I can't spell.
Which gives me another idea! We make a spelling mistake on the poster, "Dessert Bus" and it becomes an internet phail-meme.

I think it would be funny for Matt to play both himself and Tim since he is no longer LRR regular but have Tim slip in there behind them both as cameo right behind Matt and Matt as Tim.
