Best Wifi Names
You've just moved in, and now it's time to join your laptop or tablet or whatever to the wireless network, so you open up the browser, and see all your neighbour's genius shine through:
"DLinkToThePast" (a good friend of mine's. None of them even play LoZ games, but so brilliant)
"nointernet4U" (at Pita Nutzy's [pronounced Nazi?])
"robotbunnylazer" (formerly "robotbunnylazr", my house at school)
Care to share?

Re: Best Wifi Names
On a tangent. When investigating my internet slowness, I thought I'd see if someone was siphoning our internets. A computer called THOMSON showed up.
This angered me. How dare Tom steal my internet.
A half an hour later of researching, turns out every BT home-internet network has Thomson on it. It's not a douche bag who is stealing everyone's internet. It's 'part of the modem'. Boring.

There's a network you can see from my mate's apartment that's called "Bring beer to floor 4". He lives on floor 4, but it's not his, and I've yet to see any people with beer...

The one at home is very secure... but it's also called NetVirus. And it's hilarious to watch people be really unsure about which network to connect to, and telling them no, it really is okay.
Re: Best Wifi Names
mine is BlindoldmanII.
When setting up the network, my dad would ask me all the time what our network was. So had to replace the router one day and he's asking 2-3 times while configuring it (So maptools would work) changed the name to Blindoldman.
Added the II after having to replace the modem...

Ours is HummingFridge. Used to be Lady of the LAN. If you came to our house, you would understand the fridge one. -_-

Note: in Ireland 'ye' is used as the plural of 'you'. It rather neatly avoids confusion online.

Mine's Galactica, because I'm cool.
Currently I can see Wompa_Stomp and Minge_access_point. That one's unprotected. Insert your own jokes.
My favourite one I've seen though is in the second hand shop Computer ExChange, whose wifi name is Unprotected CEX.

I set up the landlord's LAN...and called it "FBI Surveillance Van #3"...
Oh, and Merrymaker? "Thomson" is a electronics firm (now named Techicolor SA) that was pretty big in consumer networking, owning RCA at one point - when I worked on an ISP help desk, maybe a third of customer's modems were RCA/Thomson. Looks like they were even bigger in Blighty (not surprising since the company is in neighbouring France...)

Mine's known as "magicbutterfrog" If you get the reference, you're equal if not superior to me as a nerd. As for one's I've seen, none that are very interesting or humorous.

Mine is Nerfherder. Because of the Star Wars thing, and because of all the nerf guns my roommates and I used to have.

Who's scruffy looking?
We got a two-parted network or some crap, so I called them Tesla and Edison. I've only ever been able to connect to Tesla.

I saw a "Skynet" pop up on my phone as a nearby network today while I was out and about. It made me think of you.
Re: Best Wifi Names
There are no fun ones here. Just default names
I've used D3DNet, FBI Surveillance Van 9, Yo Momma (and Yo Daddy when I had two). That's all I can recall off my head

My internet, hard drives, et al. are based on mythological names. I've used names like Glaistig, Zarathustra, Pandora, etc.
