There's Collector's Corner... Where I just realized that I should probably figure out transportation and go to at some point, now that I no longer have a job that conflicts with their MtG times...

We've got several people trying to prerelease Dragons of Tarkir together on Saturday. We're going to try to do it at Canton Games.

Howzit MaryLRRnders,
Another one joining here, in Sykesville. I only moved to the US last year and I've just started wanting to get back into hobbies now that I have everything else sorted. I do Warhammer and D&D; I've only ever tried 4th ed (sadly I only got into it really late since there was no around me for the longest time to get into it with), but bought my son the 5th ed books since he plays with his friends so I can steal them from him

Re: MaryLRRnd
KingBytor from the Twitch chat will be coming down to Baltimore June 24 through 27. I was wondering if we might be able to make a MaryLRRnd meetup during one or more of those days.

We've got a few more people from Chat saying they're in the area, so I hope we can get this meet-up going.

I just saw that Graham, Beej and Ian are going to be at MAGFest, which is in National Harbo[s]u[/s]r. Sounds like they're going to do Late Night Dub Fight. Is anyone planning on going?

Re: MaryLRRnd
I wish I could, but I'm basically completely broke. I would really like to see them, again, too.
I've also missed the last 2 MAGfests. Last one was due to funds as well, and the one before was because my previous job had a meeting across the country when it was.
I mean, if anyone wants to comp me and all, I'd go, but I highly doubt that's happening.

Re: MaryLRRnd
Some of us MaryLRRnders were thinking about sending LRR a local "care package" of sorts... Then Sarah Mendiola pointed me at Baltimore in a Box. Maybe we can pitch in and send them one of those? I personally like the "Route One Apparel" Box, mainly because it includes a hat, and you know they love hats.

Re: MaryLRRnd
I'd be willing to kick in $5-15 USD for a Route 1 box (either the 3 item or the 5 item).
I also wouldn't be able to make it to MAGfest. I'd forgotten all about it and I'll be at a conference in Texas instead.

Re: MaryLRRnd
Sounds cool. My ability to contribute would be dependent on how much money I had left, since funds are tight right now. Of course, this is just brainstorming really. It doesn't need to be soon. Also, we'd need to figure out the shipping cost as well.

The website said $25 to ship to Canada, don't know about tax.

I'm a 3 hour 45 minute drive from National Harbor, MD. I'm curious when LRR would be having their main panel/events if applicable? I'm debating if I could make it on Saturday/Sunday

Re: MaryLRRnd
Let's expand this to Mid-Atlantic Runners. Maybe we can have our own little convention or meet-up sometime?

Hullo! I too am a MaryLRRnder! Live in Abingdon, work in downtown Baltimore. If anyone wants to get together for a pint, to play some MTG or are willing to teach me DnD hit me up!

Re: MaryLRRnd
Alright... I think I'm going to just do it. I'll start collecting money next week (mainly because that's when I get an influx of money) to send LRR a "Baltimore in a Box" package (maybe more than one, if it's popular (multiple boxes save on shipping)). I'm personally going to pitch in $20 and hope we get enough to send a "Route One" box or an "Old Bay" box (the only ones with a hat, which can be used for Feed Dump) to LRR. Looking around $85 for that, if we have to send it directly to LRR. (I'll coordinate with Graham and see if we can cheap out with free shipping to Seattle or something.)
Any extra money not used for this project will go to Desert Bus, as has been the case for any crowd-funding I've done in the past.
Let's see if we can get enough interest in this to do it.
