Doctor Who Christmas Special - Voyage of the Dammed
I liked the Queen thanking The Doctor. Apparently saving the planet a few times means the the current Queen likes The Doctor more than her great great grandmother did. The fine tradition of having exposed reactors is continued as is a complete disregard for celestial mechanics.

For a British show, they got her accent pretty wrong.

Aaah, so good! Though I can't help but notice the Doctor apparently has no problem turning away older men from being his assistants, whereas every time he meets a young girl, he invites her right on into the TARDIS, then proceeds to smooch all over her. I guess that must just be this incarnation... he's a real... Casanova.

Of course he is! But you're all acting as though he were the latest incarnation of the Sex God. He's not all that, peoples.
I thought the woman playing Rose was cute, not that she was the avatar of Aphrodite. Same deal.

To be perfectly clear, I'm not even talking about your 'critical preferences:' if I said you were incorrect in preferring to believe that someone's sexual preferences should match up to your standards, clearly that would be ridiculous, as you can prefer to believe whatever you want. However, it doesn't make your beliefs valid just because you prefer to believe them, because there are external standards of validity for belief.
Not that those external standards are entirely objective, but they are also not entirely subjective if you have any acceptance of a difference between rational and irrational belief. If you don't, obviously we are simply unable to have a conversation about this or any topic, since you won't feel the need to make rational arguments or interpret the arguments of others in a rational context.
On the other hand, if you can demonstrate a similar imperative to match one's subjective sexual preference to an arbitrary standard, I am all ears.

Yes she is. I also had her album back in the day. "Honey to the B" was a really good album, I thought. I don't have it anymore because all my CDs got stolen in high school, and that was the last time I saw it.
Also, Hitman is my hero and I love him. That is all.
