Well that's just awesome.

Wait what? They're charging £5,000 (approximately $10,000) so someone can go snuff themselves? what the FUCK? (and of course, what the FUCK at the entire thing)

I'm thinking that being next to a brothel may actually dimish their business, people would go:

Whoa, I haven't got laid in a few years... I might as well do it before dying.

*a few hours later*

Life is awesome! Sex is awesome! I want to keep on living to continue having empty no strings attached sex! WOHOOOO

*runs back into the brothel*

5 grand though, seriously, why not just be like "hmm... suicide... or brothel... 5 grand worth of sex... I'll take the brothel"

The brothel can serve both purposes if they ask for one of the diseased ones.

you know, I really do like the idea of it, stops atleast some people from jumping in front of trains or hanging themselves for their parents or loveones to find.

What would be funny is if you got someone who'd been there and chickened out.

-Hey, excuse me, I am looking for that suicide factory. do you know where it is?
-Yeah! It's 3 blocks over there -> next to the brothel!

Maybe, but if everyone goes to the same place and snuffs it, they make it far less interesting.

From

"Oh no! My boyfriend leapt infront of the train!"
"Oh no! My father hung himself in our back yard!"
Etc.

To

"Oh, she was euthanised in that factory place"

I think it's better when your death leaves an imprint, even if that happens to be the psychological trauma of a family member, being one in a long line of people who died that same exact way is just dull.

I don't believe people can just go there under any reason at all. They will need severe medical problems and to convince a doctor that they cn't live any longer in happiness.

Don't see why as many people want to die as they do now. Life is often greater than any mental or pysical problem.

It's a good scam though. One last fuck, then you get ended. At least you can die happy.

ok... the part i have the problem with is the fact that people were complaining about dead people in the lift... ok, were they just like chilling? or were people like wheeling the dead people out in the public elevator.. because thats kinda obnoxious.

also, if they don't advertise and people dont know where the place is, that leads me to believe that you don't need to be screened or anything, because if you talked it over with a doctor and stuff, wouldnt you need to contact them ahead of time to go over stuff?

I've recently seen a video about euthanasia in sweeden and it has to be aproved by a doctor and you do need to have a medical condition. I'm not sure if depression is covered.

i could see some asshole who likes to control people, somehow convince someone who has some disease to kill themselves for some sick reason...

also, in sweden, are life insurance policies voided if someone commits suicide? becuase if it is, its kinda of a dickbag move for someone to take 5000 bucks and kill themselves and not leave thier family anything... if they have a life insurance policy

At the end of the day though, if your life insurance covers you in the event of suicide, why pay 5 grand. Find some ridiculously potent over the counter, stockpile it, and overdose. Save yourself, and ultimately if you're leaving shit behind, your family, a whole bunch of cash.

Some people hate their families. And some people prefer to have their deaths well-regulated.

If you don't have a family, or you hate yours, offing yourself might mean that your body isn't found for weeks. Some might find that possibility distressing. Also, trying to kill yourself by overdosing is riskier than some might prefer - you could totally fail, or only permanently incapacitate yourself and live for decades in agony. Better to have someone making sure you're doing it properly, eh?

You know, I understand the concept of assisted suicides in hospitals when the person can't move and is in pain, but why go someplace just to be killed? Dude, just go sky diving and just don't pull the shoot.
