What's your favorite genre for LRR vids?

Postby King Kool » 28 May 2008, 16:47

I'm just curious what people like the best. I personally laugh the most at the Whatevers and the Sheer Stupidities.

It might be interesting to ask what the least faves are, too, but we should keep this positive. It might also be interesting to list our favorite video of each genre (though I'll have to do some research before I put up mine.)

Mostly this is me trying out making a poll. Whatevs.

I like the shorts best, they provide the best opportunities for real acting, and some of the performances that result are quite good. "Son of a Bitch" is great, as is its predecessor in my mind, "EZ Industries". Every time Andy acts it's an instant classic. "Three PS3s" would not have been good if Paul botched the delivery.

'Genre' is more like "comedy" or "drama" or "horror". LRR rarely steps outside comedy or comedic drama.

I'd like to see them do more than that, actually.

I'm a fan of the shorts and X to Y's. The ones that I don't really like are the gross SS's: like Mystery Can and Bill's Revenge. Season One had some good ones though, like Tennis, Hair, and Sandwich of Fire.

I'd like to see new GMQ's, cuz you know they have funnier ones now. Plus, you could have Matt and James taking them.

Music? MOAR PLEEZE!

I demand the return of the Girly Magazine Quiz. Maybe Uwe Boll could get in on the action.

I wanted to vote for Shorts, because they are the staple of LRR and it's very rare for one of them to not be funny, rarer for it to not be clever if it's not laugh-out-loud funny. However, you put LRR3K up there. And I really want them to do more LRR3K -- what they do with those movies is exactly what I and my housemate do when watching a film: i.e., if they're not comedy, rip them to pieces with commentary.

Sheer Stupidity followed by Shorts and Phailhaus/whatever in a close third.
