I know a lot of fans (and the crew) saw Coraline in theaters. What did you all think about the "9" trailer? It looks awesome to me.

Here's the link in case you haven't/don't want to see Coraline.

Looks pretty good. What's the song that starts about 3/4 of the way through? I love that song, but can never find it.

Consider this signature a museum piece, since I love it and am unlikely to change it ever.

True, but there is 7 months left until release. In the meantime

haha. When I was in the theater and saw it I shouted "Fallout! Please be Fallout! God damn it!" during the first ten seconds.
Well, not really shouted, much more whispered to my girlfriend.
Who replied with "Shut up."

For the sake of all that is good and holy, I hope that a Fallout movie is never made. Not because Fallout wouldn't make a good movie, you could make a great Fallout movie. But they won't. They'll screw it up, it will suck, and I'll have to kill myself for seeing it.

I saw the original short film at the Animation Show last spring. It was great! However, I'm rather dubious about adding celebrity voices to the characters who originally told their story without a word.

I am very much looking forward to 9. I saw the original short a while ago, and I really think it can be expanded in a cool way.

I think it's great that the original animator is getting to direct it, and that they haven't changed the animation style. I think it looks great!

First thing I thought was that it looked like a platformer game teaser trailer.
then as I watched it I thought that the movie does not look as dramatic as the music would make me believe.

Probably a pass.

I might just be biased because I like the song a lot. Even though I don't really like Coheed and Cambria at all.
By all means, I usually listen to hip-hop and folk. But not folk-hop. I imagine that would be terrible.

More of a fun game than a movie.

That being said, apparently Tim Burton is currently working on an adaptaion of Alice in Wonderland. Johnny Depp is apparently the Mad Hatter, which is fuckin creepy anyway.

it should be noted that it's the same song the whole way through, it just skips from the intro to the birdge at 3/4 and cuts out all the lyrics.

good song.

edit: graham has just reminded me that the trailer actually starts with the knife - it becomes coheed when the classical gutar comes in.

It should be noted that Burton is just one of the producers. One out of seven, I might add. I'm not even counting this one as a Tim Burton film. The director is the same director as the short, and most of the non-acting cast is either fairly new or foreign.

Anyone that groups this with a Pixar film or as just another "burton film" deserves to be swatted down for ignorance, in my opinion.

I saw the trailer online a week or 2 ago. Very impressed, looking forward to seeing it in cinemas.

Definitely looks like a serious take on the "small folk" genre that I haven't seen in a long while, and in a dystopian setting too, that's often a plus.

Kinda reminds of Nimh though.

Who cares if Tim Burton produces it, the only thing that matters is whether its good. It can be directed, written and acted by Hitler if its entertaining.
