I'm curious as to whether you've taken the mantle of being a sort of unofficial PR coordinator for LRR. It feels like you were a big supporter on the move back to Youtube too, though I might be imaging that.

LRR seems to be getting a lot more exposure this year so you or y'all hav been doing a good job so far.

It's a niche that I'm sort of trying to carve out for myself. It's the kind of stuff I seem to think I'd like to do as a career anyway, so I'm teaching myself as I go with LRR. I don't do everything, but I do what I can.

(and I did spearhead the move back to youtube, I've been doing all the uploading, tagging, posting and whatnot for both LRR and HUSTLE's channels)

Nothing trumps experience. Keep it up, but don't forget the little people when you're a powerful marketing/PR exec sitting in your Toronto hi-rise.

It's a good article. Will be interesting to see if Leno picks it up in time. He probably won't, though.

This is certainly our hope. Luckily for us, the article hit the star website yesterday by mistake, and then got pulled - so it set off google alerts yesterday. And the leno people would have been way too busy with pres. obama to worry about it.

Lets be serious boys and girls.

I truly believe Leno and his people have better things to do than scower 2nd rate Canadian newspapers in hopes of seeing either Leno's name or the name of anything being shown on his show.

true. though, if I were a person working on leno, I'd probably have a google alert set to pick things up for me.

So is it really going to be called out on leno tonight? or just shown as a funny thing on the internet.

For everyone at LRR's sake, I hope that they do spend some time commenting on it and speculating, rather than just show the video and quickly move on to something else. Not that simply showing the video isn't great, but it would be the icing on the cake if you get to hear Leno's feedback.

too bad you don't have more controll over this; it would have been an awesome way to reveal it's a fake.

LOL. if we had control over network TV we wouldn't need to stage things like this.

You should mail him a copy of the paper, with like, a horse's head (or at least rocking horse's head) or a dead fish or a particularly ugly cardigan inside.

It's worth noting the number of Views Youtube has before the broadcast and after the broadcast on both the Failbog and georgegordon videos.

I don't expect they'll be that significantly different. Leno can get away with doing a "funny video from the internet" segment because he caters to an audience that is not likely to find that kind of thing on the internet on their own.

However, you can factor in that show's Nielsen numbers as part of your "total views" - possibly making this the most-watched LRR vid EVAR.

With an average 3.9 Nielsen rating this year, though, that's going to be over 15 million viewing households. Which other TV have they been on? I believe there are few, if any, programs on television that LRR can appear on that have higher ratings than the Tonight Show.
