LRR PAX Meetup
Lavos is crying right now, he really wants to touch Paul's beard.
Glad you guys can make it! Let us know what the plan is; I'm good with going wherever, and Broadway (where Dick's is) is a good place to eat, they have lots of shops. But someplace with teachers*
*Edit: teachers? wtf? I meant seats...

Eat breakfast at the Crumpet Shop once, and/or get doughnuts from the awesome doughnut making machine, both of which are located near where they throw the fish in pike place.

Great burgers, but apparently not suited to our needs.
Like I said, it is next to two college campuses, so it would be possible to take our food somewhere else to sit nearby. We could also walk the 1.5 miles to the 1 dicks with seating. I would also like to suggest going to Ivars. It's the same distance as Dicks (the first one), but in the opposite direction. I would suggest the stand as opposed to the restaurant so that we could sit outside with a great view of the sound.
What, how can I sign on a computer? The ink just stays in one place on the screen!

So, dicks unless it's raining super hardcore seems to be the consensus?
Hope you can make it, JesterJ. Also, any non-Satellites who need anything in town can pm me and I'll see what I can do.
Also, and 21+ people should attend the Tri Wizard Drinking Tournament tomorrow night. I'll be there. http://forums.penny-arcade.com/showthread.php?t=66247

I'm in a similar situation. In the podcast, I believe Jer said they were hoping to meet between the expo hall closing and the start of the concert. I assume this means meeting at about 6:00. As for the location, I'll hang around the expo hall then unless there is word otherwise.

This slim chance happened. I'm not going to be able to make it. Hope you have a good time!

OKAY!
After running into a local fan we could ask, we're going to aim for The Hurricane Cafe located at 7th and Bell.
Apparently the hours, food, pricing and atmosphere fit our needs nicely.
And if it sucks there's another (slightly more expensive) option nearby, where this local LRR fan works.
How's that sound to everyone?

Yes, Lavos. Yes you are.
Welcome to the forums, Tehobit! It was a nice surprise running into you yesterday, and we appreciate the helpful information. See you Saturday!

I thought I'd jump into the thread and say that I've decided to drive up to PAX from Portland on Saturday and will try to make the meetup. The Hurricane sounds good to me. I'll be the one wearing a Thromborax T-Shirt.
I'll check back through the post, but did anyone mention if people will meet at the Hurricane or at PAX?

"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
"I think so, Brain, but if we give peas a chance, won't the lima beans feel left out?"
