This seems like its kind of become Where in the World is Alphie Sandiego.
Anyway, I finally uploaded photos and worked out how to get them to post here. You can see all of them here: http://tinyurl.com/bqofa82

I really like that second one. Sort of a "you and me versus the world" kind of vibe (for me at least). Was he hard to say goodbye to?
Edit: Um the album appears to be password protected?

A little bit. It was so weird...actually getting emotionally attatched to him.
Hmmm...I think it should be public now.

I feel a bit of pride for Alphie, hoping he's behaving and enjoying himself.
Then I remember the first 2 syllables of my forum nickname...

It's the strangest thing, right? Didn't want to let go of the little guy but I'm glad he got to see bigger and better things than I showed him.

I was just thinking yesterday that it might be worth posting to find out where alphie is. Although this is where he's been. Where is he currently?
Re: Creepy Doll #1 World Tour
Great pics. I want a creepy doll now...
And also, if you'll pardon the expression, may I say what a lovely back of the head you have. Almost as nice as the front of your head.

He's currently with me. Got some pics with him on Telegraph last month, gonna get some in SF with Avistew on Thursday, then hand him off to my LA friend on Saturday.

And I love this one because it looks like he's holding onto the shirttail (sweater tail?) like a toddler would..."I don't want to get lost, but I know you'll never lose me."

LA, wow.
Well, if he ever makes it up to New York, let me know, I'll take him for a night on the town.
Edit: Actually if he got up to New York I could take him to the Middle East when I visit my family over Christmas, then I could drop him off in the UK in my transit through on the return journey. Or I could bring him back to the states... whichever.
Sorry, getting ahead of myself again... enjoy the ride creepy doll, enjoy the ride.

Ok, I'm relieved he hasn't been eaten by any grues.

Aww I didn't see that at first!
See I wouldn't want to have him because I don't think I'd be able to let him go. I'm a huge softy when it comes to cute things like that.

Kinda sad I missed out on all this fun.

Just FYI, I am now in Oxford 24-ish weeks out of the year. So, when he gets over to the UK I will either be here, or in London.

Re: Creepy Doll #1 World Tour
As I said, I'm willing to be a courier for the doll from USA to UK if it is required at any point. I will be doing the trip in December and then again next summer. Would love to see the little guy to his next destination... I don't know how one goes about requesting these things though.

Re: Creepy Doll #1 World Tour
I was just looking through this thread and realised I didn't share the pics I took. Being the dunderhead that I am I lost the pics that My ex and I took with lil alphie around Brisbane.
I do have a couple to share.
He met some of my mice. He terrified Dr Large, who is on the left looking to jump out of the tank.
He came on stage when my band played with Alestorm.
And he oversaw the killing of perilous bilgerats.
I'm kind of sad that I've lost the other photos.

Check your PMs. Next Summer might be the ideal time, because he has to cross the United States, then UK, then back to The Maple Leaf State...

Re: Creepy Doll #1 World Tour
Ok, sent you a PM with more details. I think I can definitely help with the US-UK transition.

Alphie makes a few more stops around Berkeley before heading back to Los Angeles!
Alphie visits the Berkeley Vivarium, and makes some new friends.
Alphie joins the Legion Fantastique!
Alphie joins the ranks of the Plague Doctors. Meet Alphie Della Peste.
...what's that there?
Is is...is it watching me?
Doctor Alphie is here to help you.
More to come from around campus once I have the time (so, this weekend probably). I intend to mail him on Thanksgiving weekend, after one more stop in Berkeley, catching a few places Fayili suggested which she couldn't get to.
