Re: Presenting: Strip Search
So, I have a feeling that this will be a really awesome panel at PAX, I also feel like it'll be super filled. Can we get any teasers of what we might see if we wait out what's bound to be a super big line?

Abby's working hard to stake out the villain spot early on.
Also, Alex is so the best.
You shouldn't have said that.

Re: Presenting: Strip Search
Some WEIRD discussion is going down on the Strip Search comments right now.
So I'm just going to say this,
and I'm sorry for the double post,
but I like Amy.
I like everyone in the Strip Search mansion.
That's why it hurts me so much that the nice people in the mansion have to decide who has to leave the mansion... on the first day that they arrived there.
I'm going to be reasonable, and assume that Amy, who was "flabbergastered" at having won, and didn't know that she'd have to eliminate people, didn't choose either Katie or Alex because she thought they were threats. I like Alex a lot, but I do think his design was the weakest of them all (and am now fearing for him), and while Katie's design was charming (in a way that kind of reminds me of LeeLee Scaldaferri actually), I can also see why somebody wouldn't like it. Art is subjective, after all.
Though to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't try telling that to the Penny Arcade community.

Be honest (spoiler): you chose that particular tour guide primarily for the hats, didn't you?

Re: Presenting: Strip Search
So I am curious, why did you guys cut around them saying the location/parking lot you got picked up in.
Having been there to drop something off I recognized it instantly I assume most people wouldn't, so I wonder why it was concealed like that and yet hinted at.

Spoiler: There may be better guides for this tour, but they don't have... these hats.

I did wonder that. They seemed very excited by the destination, but I didn't catch what they thought it was.

Re: Presenting: Strip Search
so I watched it again and amy did say that they were at the PA studio, I must have missed it the first time. Or else there was a re-edit?
I am going to assume that people asked the question so they quickly reedited it and submitted a new version where she said it. instead of me missing the little detail.

I'd originally heard it as Paramount Studios, which made no sense.

OK, who would know better, some person who watched it between classes while doing some homework or the person who was there, produced, directed and helped with/primarily edited the episode.
I am pretty sure everyone is sure I am right and Graham is trying to cover for something. SOMETHING DARK!

I like them all. Every last one of them. I do agree that Alex was the weakest of the twelve and should've been the first to go, but he's still head and shoulders above many in the webcomic world! (and I'm enjoying his comic...I think I might only start checking their comics out after they get eliminated).
...yeah, this is gonna be REALLY rough for me to keep watching.

I think it's a slightly weird coincidence that this Saturday's Guardian carries a feature entitled 'Is the TV Talent show Dead?'

Re: Presenting: Strip Search
He doesn't quite have the chops to make it in the full webcomic world that includes merchandising and such. However, being the equivalent of "Penny Arcade when they started out" isn't half bad at all. I see a bright future for him once he refines his talent a bit.empath wrote:I do agree that Alex was the weakest of the twelve and should've been the first to go, but he's still head and shoulders above many in the webcomic world!

The former. Everyone knows that someone who watches video in their spare time between classes has no life and can therefore waste frivolous time watching and re-watching internet sketch comedy videos.

Abby went to the pa q and a and asked mike why he was such a asshole to the "strippers" he replied

Unless the "you" was intended to be plural, meaning "all of you strippers."Lord Hosk wrote:Abby went to the PA Q&A and asked Mike why he was such an asshole to the "strippers."
He replied with a huge spoiler about the winner.
"Well, I'm supposed to be. I was playing a character. But what we did with you in the car after the elimination, that was being nice, right?" Abby gets eliminated.
Still, high probability of Abby (or any other particular stripper) getting eliminated anyway.
My personal feelings are that she's got the skills to go far, but not all the way.

I will say that, in context, Mike was talking about all the Artists as the "you", but maybe Abby goes and maybe she doesn't... WHO KNOWS!?!?!

Of course you would say that...
Were you able to chat to the artists outside of the host role and get to know them at all?

I want a print of Maki's Chandra.
Thankfully, tonight's challenge wasn't nearly as tense as some others have been recently.
